| Shanghai Green Belt has been built more than 20 years.It prevents the city from spreading infinitely effectively and improves the ecological environment of the city.It is a considerable ecological project with remarkable environmental and economic benefits for people in Shanghai.Previous researches on the plant communities of 100-meter forest belt in Shanghai Green Belt are mainly focused on two aspects ecological functions and aesthetic benefits.However,there is a lack of comprehensive research on plant communities and recreational functions of Shanghai Green Belt.This research takes plant communities of 100-meter forest belt in the outer ring of Shanghai as an example,discussing the suitability of developing recreational functions in the 100-meter forest belt.101 typical plant communities of 100-meter forest belt were investigated,to study their ecological characteristics,landscape structures,spatial characters and recreational situation.The results showed that:(1)At total,there are 111 kinds of seed plants,belonging to 56 families and 95 genera,with the tree accounts for 45.8%,the shrub accounts for 32.2% and the herb accounts for 22%.The Shannon-Wiener index was low and species richness was not high.(2)The vertical space has the highest proportion of ‘tree-shrub-herb’ and ‘tree-shrub’,followed by single-layer type,‘tree-herb’ type and ‘shrub-herb’ type.There are plenty of pure woodlands in Shanghai Green Belt.(3)According to the spatial characteristics,these plant communities were divided into 4 types: open space type,open forest type,closed space type and covered space type.Among them,covered space type occupies the highest proportion in Shanghai Green Belt,while the open space type occupies the smallest proportion.(4)The main user of the Shanghai Green Belt is the elderly over the age of 60,and most of them live nearby.79% of the tourists choose to enjoy the scenery or do some statics activities.They hardly do dynamic activities.The biggest problem is the lack of recreational facilities,which leads to a single type of recreation projects.According to the different characteristics of plant communities,40 recreational type samples were selected for further evaluation through full coverage community survey.Using the AHP to construct the evaluation system of recreational suitability of Shanghai Green Belt,and evaluating its recreational suitability:(1)The most influential factors on the recreational suitability are spatial safety,accessibility and plant safety.(2)According to the grading of recreational suitability of plant communities in Shanghai Green Belt,the communities of grade I and grade II accounts for 72.5% and the communities of grade V5 are nonexistent,indicating that most of the plant communities of Shanghai Green Belt are suitable for recreational development.(3)In the different spatial types of plant communities,the open space has the highest recreational suitability due to its broaden horizons and large activity fields;and the closed space has the lowest recreational suitability.Based on the investigation and analysis of the evaluation of recreational suitability,the study put forward suggestions of optimization of plant communities in the Shanghai Green Belt in order to develop its recreational functions and provide useful reference for the improvement of the 100-meter forest belt in the outer ring of Shanghai and the enhancement of the recreational function of the city green belts in other countries.The innovation of this paper is to integrate the plant communities of Shanghai Green Belt and the recreation theory for the first time and discuss the suitability of developing the recreation function in Shanghai Green Belt under the background of urban renewal.However,as there are few evaluation methods for the recreational fitness of plant communities and no mature evaluation system if formed,the choice of evaluation methods and evaluation factors in this paper may not be comprehensive enough.What’s more,the research on recreational activities needs to be further refined. |
