Research On The Characteristics Of Modern Hotels In Shantou Under The Influence From Multiculturalism

If architecture is a solidified history,carrying social changes and witnessing human events,then the historical buildings that can be preserved under the test of the years are the most authentic portrayal of the times.Shantou is one of the earliest commercial ports in Lingnan area.It has a long history of civilization.In the early period of Shantou's opening,the western countries entered Shantou.The special period of exchange,collision and acceptance of Chinese and Western cultures is the most important part of history.However,for a long time,the protection and research of modern architecture in Shantou has not been paid enough attention,its value needs to be excavated and utilized,and the relevant protection planning is also slightly short of implementation in the early stage.In recent years,the protection and renovation of historical buildings in Shantou Kaibu District began.More attention has been limited to the arcade buildings on the main streets,which also has rich historical value for non-main streets.Hotel buildings are not taken seriously.Based on this,this paper hopes to study and analyze the architectural characteristics of Shantou modern hotels from the perspective of multiculturalism,in order to help the urban construction of Shantou and the research on the value of hotels.Based on the background of multiculturalism,this paper focuses on the analysis of the composition and characteristics of Shantou's modern geographical culture,historical culture and humanistic culture from three perspectives,focusing on the relationship between culture and architecture,including their mutual penetration and interdependence,summarizing the influence of different cultures on the layout,scale,function and asset structure of modern hotel buildings,and summarizing the performance of architectural form,which has an impact on Shantou's recent development.The forming background of the hotel building is analyzed comprehensively,systematically and in detail.In the course of the study,based on historical information mining,field investigation,survey and mapping,and interviews with people,the surrounding streets and related buildings involved were investigated,and thousands of architectural drawings were formed based on project research,so as to form the basic information of this paper,put the architectural form in the modern multi-cultural environment of Shantou,and explore the hotel architecture in the geographical culture,history and culture.The concrete manifestations in the process of formation and development under the influence of humanistic culture are analyzed and illustrated by enumerating typical representative architectural examples.By using the classification method of typology,the plane type,elevation form prototype and component combination rule of modern hotel buildings in Shantou are studied,and the basic characteristics of modern hotel building entities and elements in Shantou are summarized,and the evolution and value of buildings are analyzed.By analyzing the internal and external factors behind it,we try to build a bridge between abstract culture and physical architecture,and get some enlightenment,in order to add bricks and tiles to the culture and architecture of Shantou area,to provide reference for the protection,utilization and development of modern hotel buildings,as well as to bring reference significance to the design ideas of modern and Contemporary Regional Hotel buildings.
