Steam turbine monitoring system is the equipment to ensure the normal operation of the steam turbine.However,due to the poor environment of the system,the monitoring system will fail to work and some hidden dangers may be buried,when the core equipment of the monitoring system is damaged.In order to improve the reliability and safety of the steam turbine monitoring system,this paper designs a redundant controller monitoring system,which has the functions of data acquisition,control signal output and redundant switching of the main and standby controllers.This redundancy system can improve the reliability of the steam turbine monitoring system and play an important role in ensuring the safe operation of the steam turbine.After fully analyzing the requirements of the monitoring system,we have built the hardware platform of the dual redundancy monitoring system,depending on the existing equipment and technical reserve in our laboratory.Then,we proposed the scheme of the redundant controller and the monitoring software,through analyzing the requirements of the project.The VME embedded computer is the core equipment of our monitoring system,which collect the state information of steam turbine from A/D module and digital input module,and output the processed control signal through the relay module.In this paper,we detailed the scheme of the redundancy controller,and the communication between the controllers are realized by implementing the POWERLINK protocol,which can ensure the real-time transmission of the heartbeat signal and redundant data of the controller.Additionally,the switching of system controller are implemented by combining the application software and logic judgment of FPGA,solving the problem of ownership and controller switching of the VME bus.We developed the monitoring software by using the Qt/Embedded tools on a embedded Linux platform.The monitoring software consists of three layers,including the user interface layer,the function layer and the kernel driver layer.We designed the monitoring software,enabling with data acquisition,signal output and controller redundancy function.Finally,according to the requirements of the system,we have co mprehensively tested all these functions,including the data acquisition,data analysis and control,the redundant switching of the controller.The experimental results show that the designed dual redundancy monitoring system can fully meet the requirements of the project.
