Engineering structures are generally damped,and the general viscous damping system can not be decoupled from the dynamic equations,which needs to be transferred to the state space to solve the system by the complex modal theory.Due to the large number of actual structural degrees of freedom,it is necessary to reduce the order of the model in order to improve the computational efficiency.The content of this paper is based on the complex modal fixed-interface component mode synthesis method,for the optimization of system,it presents an improved complex modal fixed-interface component mode synthesis method to reanalyze fastly to get the dynamic parameters of the modified structure,and the optimal design of structural damping is studied.The main contents are as follows:1)This paper expounds the component mode synthesis method and its basic ideas,and introduces the theory of the complex modal fixed-interface component mode synthesis method.In addition,the problem of damping optimization of engineering structures is summarized.2)The paper presents an improved complex modal fixed-interface component mode synthesis method,and gives a detailed derivation of the theory.An example is given to show that the method can be used to reanalyze the dynamic parameters of the modified system,which can not only ensure the accuracy of calculation,but also improve the computational efficiency.3)The paper introduces the matrix perturbation theory for structural dynamic design.The comparison with the presented method in an example shows that both of them can get good calculation precision,but for large complex structures,using the improved method is more economical.4)This paper studies the problem of optimal design of damping configuration in engineering structure.Using the presented method combined with the perturbation method,it deduces the sensitivity of the damper installation position.After determining the optimal design principle,the numerical example shows that the optimization method is effective,it can meet the requirements of the optimization design,which can provides a suggestion for structural damping optimization design.
