BIM is a trend in the development of informatization in the construction industry.It is the process and method of creating and using digital models to design,construct and operate construction projects.Throughout the life cycle of buildings,BIM technology improves production efficiency and it plays a certain role in terms of saving cost and shortening construction period.BIM is still in its infancy in China,and it is not clear to the management personnel about the benefits of BIM in project management.In order to clarify the benefits of BIM in the whole life cycle of construction projects and measure the benefit indicators,this paper takes the reconstruction and expansion project of a hospital in Shenzhen as an example to construct a BIM benefit evaluation index system to measure the benefits of BIM in the project.Provide data reference for the same type of construction project to promote the promotion and application of BIM technology.This paper compares BIM and traditional models from the pre-project phase,design phase,construction phase to operation and maintenance phase.On the basis of literature review,17 BIM benefit indicators were extracted,and the Delphi method(Delphi)was used to optimize the indicators.The reliability of the benefit indicators was tested by means of mathematical statistics.The BIM technical benefit evaluation index system was established by using the Analytic Hierarchy Process.Model(AHP),calculating the weight of each indicator.Through the application of BIM in the reconstruction and expansion project of a hospital in Shenzhen,the benefits of BIM technology applied in the whole life cycle of the project are analyzed,that is,high return on investment,saving time,improving quality,improving communication efficiency,visualization,engineering quantity statistics,construction Simulation,collision check,talent training,etc.,using Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method(Fuzzy)to comprehensively evaluate the benefit of applying BIM in the project,and concluded that “the benefit is significant”,which is embodied as:(1)Quality: Getted 1152 cumulative collision inspections an Found 900 problems,optimized the quality of construction drawings and construction quality.(2)Progress: The program is optimized at 150 places,saving 80% of the calculation time,reducing on-site rework,saving the construction period totaling 100 days,and the construction period saving rate is 13.70%.(3)Cost: The total investment of the project is 5,527,123,900 yuan,of which the national medical treatment center invests 41,419,300 yuan,the BIM cost is 1.072 million yuan,the economic benefit is 7.74 million yuan,and the return on investment is 622.01%.(4)Safety management: The safety accident rate in construction projects is 0%.(5)Ecological management: Through the management of IoT and assembly-type construction,the material control efficiency is improved,the number of on-site material transfer is reduced,and construction waste is reduced.The dynamic management of BIM during project operation period can improve the management efficiency of the hospital and reduce hospital energy consumption,estimated operating energy saving rate of up to 8.03%,manpower savings of 15.20%,can extend equipment life by 15.50%,reduce maintenance costs of 1 million / year.(6)Talent training: 37 BIM technicians and 5 management personnel.This paper constructs the BIM benefit evaluation index system through theoretical analysis,and quantifies the benefits brought by BIM through case analysis.The research results of this paper will provide more scientific guidance for other construction projects.
