The Study Of Guangzhou Historic District Greenway Network Construction

In recent years,in the context of the transformation of China new urbanization,ecological rehabilitation,urban refurbishment and the coordinated construction of Greater Bay Area,the greenway has entered upon a new phase.Facing the high-density built environment,rich historical heritage and tight land resources,Guangzhou Historic District urgently needs targeted planning strategies to highlight the multi-functionality and public characteristics of greenway.This research focuses on the current development situation,and aims to provide guiding suggestions for the planning and construction of greenway in Guangzhou Historic District through quantitative evaluation and system construction.This study can also provide reference for the development of the same type of greenway in the future.The research field of this study is Guangzhou Historic District,and the research objects are the greenway elements and systems.At the beginning of the study,several similar theories to greenway were distinguished and analyzed,and the concept and characteristics of Guangzhou Historic District Greenway were clarified: The greenway of historic district is a multi-functional linear open space connecting the natural,recreational and cultural resources in the historical urban area.It is a means to protect and repair the urban landscape,a carrier of urban life and an effective way to sustainable development.Secondly,it analyzes the physiographic,socio-economic conditions and related master planning of Guangzhou Historic District,and combines the field research of the greenway to deeply study the current situation and problems.These efforts are to lay a solid foundation for the following system construction.The focus of this study is to establish a “Greenway Network Suitability Index System” and to build Guangzhou Historic District Greenway Network using process-based approach.Based on the existing researches,the principle of greenway network construction in Guangzhou Historic District and the framework of “Greenway Network Suitability Index System”(including nodes and links)are proposed.The node indexes are divided into three categories: nature and ecology,entertaining and recreation,history and culture.The link indexes are divided into four categories: connectivity,landscape,service,and ecology.The research logic is based on: determining the node level according to the quantitative standard and relevant regulations,and determining the weight of the links through the AHP and Delphi method.Then use the Cost Connectivity tool and the Cost Distance tool to analyze and modify it according to the master planning,current situation and professional knowledge to construct a short-term and medium and long-term network of Guangzhou Historic District Greenway Network.On this basis,the network structure index is used to verify the greenway network planning,and the result shows that it has obvious optimization effect on the current greenway system.In order to ensure the effective implementation and continuous operation of the Guangzhou Historic District Greenway Network Planning,this study proposes two aspects from planning and design,operation and management.In terms of planning and design,it proposes typical route design,typical handover space and function design,greenway logo design and other planning suggestions;in terms of operation and management,it is recommended to improve the policy guarantee mechanism,implement multi-management,promote market-oriented operation under the leadership of the government and emphasize the greenway cultural brand.
