Our country's social and economic development has entered a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics.With the continuous improvement of urbanization rate,the mode of urban development in China has gradually changed from "incremental expansion" to "stock optimization".In the process of land development in old urban areas,the optimization and upgrading of open space plays a key role in improving the overall image and quality of the area.Zhenjiang is a famous historical and cultural city.Several historical blocks are located in the old city.The open space in Zhenjiang is mainly composed of mountain parks and waterfront parks.This paper discusses these open spaces.This paper deeply explores the main principles of urban open space matching and summarizes the basic system of urban open space evaluation.On this basis,taking the old urban area of Zhenjiang City as an example,the qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods and paths of urban open space evaluation are analyzed.Quantitative aspects are specific quantitative indicators such as matching level,service level and spatial scale,and qualitative aspects are specific as follows:Systematic,functional and other qualitative content,and to be summarized and evaluated.Finally,it puts forward the principles of improving the open space of Zhenjiang Old Town: integrity,humanization and ecology.Then the paper puts forward some strategies such as rational layout of overall planning,ecological connection of different spaces,building control around open space,organic integration of residents' needs,improvement of facilities and equipment quality,and summarizes the strategies and methods of urban open space planning and upgrading.
