As the Chinese economy enters a new era,improving happiness has become the focus of the government’s decision-making,and the improvement of residents’ leisure awareness has become a key factor in measuring the level of life.The change of lifestyle,leisure consciousness has infiltrated into every aspect of life,leisure has become more and more important indicators of happiness.People have a new understanding of the foreign dining,from the beginning of the demand to the affordable pursuit of food quality to pay attention to the space environment of personalized,diversified,to meet spiritual needs.With the improvement of leisure consciousness,people’s consumption began to pursue the value added beyond material,from tangible needs to intangible needs.People’s consumption needs are more diversified,so they put forward higher requirements for dining space and promoted the development of popular dining space design.After the 80 s and 90 s,they gradually became the main body of consumption.The young group paid more attention to cost-effectiveness,the uniqueness of the environment,ingredients,and cultural connotations.Therefore,the demand for high-end catering packaging and services is not strong,so mass catering has become the mainstream.The design of the "humanization" of the popular dining space pays attention to the creation of the artistic conception of the space environment,and it is the current demand of the times to meet the physiological and multi-emotional needs of consumers.Under the concept of leisure,the public dining space pays more and more attention to the aesthetic enjoyment of the spiritual level,emphasizing the sensory experience of the dining environment,in order to obtain emotional recognition.This article is composed of six chapters,the first chapter: introduction,this chapter describes the background of this article,through the analysis of literature and cases to compare the domestic and foreign research dynamics,and at the same time lead to the research content of this article.At last,the research aim,significance and innovation point of this paper are expounded.Chapter 2: This chapter is about theconcept of leisure and the basic concept of popular dining space definition and relevance analysis.Through the leisure,popular catering and other related overview,and then lead to the characteristics of leisure.Chapter Three: This chapter is an analysis of the current situation and development trend of the design of the popular dining space under the concept of leisure.First,through the analysis of the current situation of the popular dining space and the popular catering industry,The second is the analysis of the factors that affect the design of popular dining space under the concept of leisure and the correlation between leisure and design.Finally,the development trend of popular dining space design under the concept of leisure is analyzed.Chapter 4: Based on the analysis and discussion of the previous chapter,this chapter analyzes and summarizes the principles and methods of design of popular dining space under the concept of leisure.Starting from the preliminary preparation,design principles and design methods.Chapter five: this article is the design concept of campus restaurant based on the concept of leisure,combining the discussion of the content of the previous chapter,starting from the design principles and methods,combining the preliminary preparation of the design and the analysis of the case,so as to apply the design concept to practice.Chapter 6: This chapter is the conclusion and prospect of this article.In the future,the design of popular dining space will become a comprehensive functional space that integrates multiple functions to meet people’s diverse emotional needs.At the same time,the design of popular dining space will incorporate more leisure elements.Diversified design techniques,the use of new technologies,and the integration of multiculturalism create a more humane dining space to meet the needs of consumers ’multi-sensory experience.
