Inorganic insulating polystyrene insulating panels are prepared by vacuum adsorption and impregnation on the basis of processed low density EPS panels and infiltrating inorganic slurry with MgO and magnesium sulfate heptahydrate as the main components.It has good thermal insulation and excellent flame retardancy.In this paper,studied the basic physical properties,fatigue properties of mechanical properties in application,water-related properties of the insulation board.Microscopic demonstration was carried out by means of scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction analysis and thermal analysis.Firstly,the homogeneity of the insulation board was studied.The test results show that the insulation board is a non-homogeneous material.There is the density distribution rule that ends are larger than the middle and the edges are larger than the center.Then studied the relationships between thermal conductivity and apparent density,combustion calorific value and apparent density of thermal insulation board.It is found that when the apparent density of insulation boards are 120-140 kg/m3,they not only have good heat preservation and insulation performance,but also meets the requirements of national class A2 non-combustible materials,laying foundations for the follow-up test.Finally,studied the relationship between non-flammability and apparent density.The test results further prove that the flame retardancy is good when the apparent density reaches 120 kg/m3.Fatigue test and shear test of TEPS in mechanical properties.The fatigue test is compared with EPS and base plate.The results show that the initial tensile strength of TEPS can meet the requirement of no less than 0.1 MPa in relevant regulations.The tensile strength of TEPS decreases with the increase of impact times.Finally,it keeps around 0.07 MPa,equivalent to the tensile strength of the substrate.The shear test results show that TEPS can withstand 55.74KPa shear force.Taken together,TEPS has good mechanical properties,There will be no internal fracture from the plate if reasonable used.Study on TEPS with water-related properties.The water absorption test results of TEPS showed that the volume water absorption increased dramatically in the first hour,waved rise to maximum in one to hour,then waved decreases and remains stable at about 7%,and the maximum value not exceeding 8%.Comparing TEPS with EPS,baseboard,the fatigue test of the specimens immersed in water for 24 hours shows that the influence of immersion on TEPS is great,but it decreases with the increase of fatigue degree.The tensile strength of TEPS reached 0.07 MPa in advance because of immersion and then maintained.Finally,the microscopic study of the specimens is carried out.Microscopic morphology of inorganic materials is slender needles by scanning electron microscopy,and tight bonding with benzene grains.The inorganic filling is uniform but not completely compact.XRD analysis showed that the components of inorganic materials reacted with each other generated Mg(OH)2,basic magnesium sulfate and hydrated magnesium sulfate which may cause the fluctuation of TEPS volume water absorption.Thermal analysis results show that four endothermic peaks can be produced in inorganic materials during high temperature heating,its total heat absorption area is 2549.9J/g and the residual amount of combustion is 17.94%.Under the premise of proper proportions of organic and inorganic materials,the flame-retardant properties of insulation board can be guaranteed.
