Investigation And Study Of Ancient Landscape In Wuyuan

From the relevant research of Chinese classical gardening system,the past dynasties'research is more in-depth,and a lot of achievements have produced many monographs,and formed different gardening systems.Then,many research results have been formed in different regions,different types and related architecture and gardening techniques.However,the study of classical gardens in Jiangxi is relatively inadequate,and people's understanding of ancient gardens in Jiangxi is relatively shallow.Wuyuan has the conditions for the development of ancient gardens in terms of its history,economy,nature and humanities,while the study of ancient gardens in Wuyuan has always been in an embarrassing situation.This paper mainly collects and collates the historical data of ancient gardens in Wuyuan by using the methods of literature analysis and field investigation.On this basis,it makes a comprehensive induction,analysis and Reflection on the origin,formation and development of ancient gardens in Wuyuan,and makes an analysis and comparison.The characteristics and cultural connotations of Wuyuan ancient gardens were theoretically summarized,and the overall theoretical framework of Wuyuan ancient gardens was preliminarily established.The research shows that Wuyuan ancient gardens have formed five types of traditional gardens:Academy gardens,private gardens,temple gardens,government gardens and public gardens,as well as ancestral temple gardens and Shuikou gardens with local characteristics.It can be divided into five stages in its development stage:1.Pre-Qin to Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties:Wuyuan was still in barren land at this time,gardens were rare;2.Sui,Tang and Five Dynasties:the war caused a large number of Central Plains clans to move in,promoted cultural integration and economic development,temple gardens took the lead,private gardens and public gardens began to sprout;3.The Song Dynasty:the rise of Neo-Confucianism thought;From then on,the wind of emphasizing culture and revitalizing education flourished in Wuyuan County,which resulted in the formation of academy gardens,frequent exchanges between scholars and ink visitors,and the further development of public gardens,private gardens and temple gardens under the influence of landscape aesthetic ideas.4.During the Yuan Dynasty,social unrest,the war between Song and Yuan Dynasty and the end of Yuan Dynasty seriously damaged the economy in Wuyuan County.The development of private gardens and temple gardens was hindered.During this period,the construction of academy gardens and public gardens dominated the construction of gardens.5.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the society was relatively stable.The development of Huizhou merchants led to the recovery of Wuyuan society and economy,and the development trend of gardens was the most successful.The geomantic culture in gardens is prominent,the contents are richer and the techniques are more mature.Gardening activities reached their peak during this period.At the end of the Qing Dynasty,great changes took place in society,and the development of gardens began to decline with the decline of Huizhou merchants.Wuyuan ancient gardens also have local characteristics in their development process and form,temple gardens took the lead in the rise and spread widely;academy gardens emerged after the Song Dynasty;public gardens began in the Tang Dynasty and developed steadily and flourished gradually;private gardens were built for scholars and humanists to avoid disorder and seclusion,and most of them were built by rich businessmen in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.The ancient gardens in Wuyuan mainly benefited from the superior natural landscape environment in the territory.The site selection focused on the relationship with the natural landscape and was close to the mountains and rivers.Geomantic culture and Neo-Confucianism occupy an important position in gardens,and plants are mostly used to restore plants with beautiful implications.It reflects the gardening characteristics of advocating nature,strong culture and profound artistic conception.
