Abstract/Summary:
This article focuses on several issues of revenue management technology in the airline operations.Over the past few years,the growth rate of the world economy and trade has been at a relatively low level.The downward pressure on the domestic economy has increased.The overall economic environment is not friendly to the air transport industry.Coupled with the continuous development of the high-speed rail industry in China,the air transport industry is facing unprecedented pressure.Therefore,revenue management has become a key technology for the survival of major airlines.The issue of overbooking of airline tickets and forecasting of airline passenger traffic volume are Two research topics of revenue management,they arc effective means to enhance the competitiveness of airline companies and produce reasonable decisions.On the basis of previous research work,this paper further discusses and studies the problems in these two aspects in order to help airlines make revenue management decisions better.This article is mainly done in the following aspects:1.A dynamic overbooking control model based on Poisson distribution is proposed.The model takes into account the risk of a ticket sold,a possible future reservation demand,and a passenger’s No-Show and Denied Boarding(DB).At the same time,in order to achieve the goal of maximizing revenue,the model can dynamically regulate the daily Oversale quota in the pre sale period,which can effectively control the void of scats and the excess of ticket sales.By solving the process analysis,the overbooking problem is transformed into an integer optimization problem,and the optimal solution is obtained by enumeration.2.In view of the problem of passenger traffic volume prediction,the advantages and disadvantages of the three traditional forecasting methods arc analyzed and compared,and a combination forecasting model of passenger traffic volume based on entropy weight is proposed.The model takes the error index of three traditional forecasting methods as evaluation index,and obtains the weight of three kinds of single prediction methods by entropy weight method.The result of the single prediction method is weighted and the final combination forecast result is obtained.3.On the ticket dynamic Oversale control model,this paper has done an example analysis and numerical simulation to verify the maneuverability and effectiveness of the model.Using the forecast model of the airline passenger volume proposed in this paper and the historical data of the passenger traffic volume of the Beijing Shenzhen route for 2000-2015 years,the passenger traffic volume of the Beijing Shenzhen route is predicted and verified.The result shows that the prediction accuracy of combined forecasting method is significantly higher than that of any single prediction method,which significantly improves the prediction accuracy.Finally,the paper reviews and summarizes the research ideas and direction of improvement.
