Waterfront space contains the landscape belt along the river,waterfront avenue and riverside architecture,which is a city in the waterfront element space of the collection,and centrally shows a city with a long waterfront culture.However,due to the unreasonable development of the builings and the limited age of waterfront space,the overall ecological and landscape environment of waterfront space was damaged,Therefore,the arrival of the era of“ecological restoration and urban repair”,to a large extent,the urban waterfront space planning research has great mining value.The proposal of“ecological restoration and urban repair”is a response to the new requirements of the central urban work conference on urban planning and management,as well as a new concept to adapt to the stock development under the new normal and explore the way of ecological urban development^[1].The report of the 19^thh national congress of the communist party of China put forward measures to strengthen ecological and environmental protection and build a beautiful China.The waterfront space as the basis of human survival,its ecological and landscape environment elements on people’s influence are far-reaching.It can be seen that the“ecological restoration and urban repair”of waterfront space is the new normal adapting to the development of waterfront space and an important symbol of the concept of building the most beautiful prefecture-level city.Starting fron the basic concept of waterfront space,this paper makes an in-depth analysis of the charateristics of waterfront space under the background of ecological restoration and urban repair,and clarifies the importance of the study of waterfront space ecological restoration and urban repair.Through the interpretation of the four design elements of waterfront space traffic organization,landscape environment,node design and urban design,this paper discusses the research on waterfront space under the background of“ecological restoration and urban repair”.And through to the HengYang city waterfront space“three rivers and six banks”cultivation practice,put forward the theory of three complex filling,“namely green,after park,after new”and“land scape,green,tonic.Quality”,a total of teasing out six key cultivation project,to guide the HengYang city“three rivers six Banks”waterfront space“ecological restoration and urban repair”work,to HengYang city of“three rivers and six banks”waterfront space“ecological restoration and urban repair”engineering to provide the necessary guidance,promote the expansion of the urban development from quantity to quality.
