A Comparative Study On "Fuzzy Space" Design Of Chinese And Western Traditional Residential Building

Residential architecture has played an important role in people’s life dating back to the days when it served as the earliest house exterior,exposing profound and lasting influence on the development of architectural history.Against the backdrop of rapid growth of the times,the continuous exchange and integration of culture,the increasing improvement and enhancement of architectural technology,the construction of the living environment has made great progress.As a kind of multi-meaning space of residential building space,the fuzzy space form of residence has been ingrained the unique imprint and special charm attached by the times in every period of history,which is of great importance to the ever-increasing human settlement environment.In terms of the ever-increasing requirements of human settlements,the application of fuzzy space research can improve the comfort of human settlements space environment,enhance the sense of experience in space and strengthen the continuity of the development of architectural culture.This paper,taking the construction of fuzzy space in Chinese and western traditional residential building as the research object,makes a study of the similarities and differences of fuzzy spatial forms between Chinese and western traditional residential buildings with comparative research as the basic research method.The full paper is made up of four chapters.The first chapter mainly summarizes the background and current situation of the research,the scope of theresearch,the purpose and significance of the research,and the related concepts.In the second chapter,the evolution and development of the fuzzy space between inside and outside are described in detail in each historical stage of Chinese and Western traditional residential buildings.Going forward,the third part illustrates the nature classification of the fuzzy space of Chinese and western residential buildings through the study of each stage of history,and makes a detailed comparative analysis of the fuzzy space design of Chinese and western residential buildings from the aspects of shape,material structure and decorative technique,and summarizes the general law of building fuzzy space in Chinese and western residential buildings.The last chapter is written to provide a new ideas of modern architectural space design after concluding the results of comparative research,and try to integrate the design ideas with the concrete design.Out of the differences between the Chinese and the Western architectural systems from geography,humanities,and customs of the traditional residential buildings in China and the West countries,however,the fuzzy spatial form is common in the traditional residential buildings in the East and the West.It is founded that there are a lot of similarities and differences between the fuzzy spatial forms of traditional Chinese and Western residential buildings.This enabled us to understand Chinese and Western traditional residential buildings from a new perspective.Guided by the history,it provides a new vision and design ideas for modern architectural design,and contributes to the study of architectural fuzzy spatial form.
