Compared to the two-level PWM rectifier,the voltage stress of power device in VIENNA rectifier is only half of conventional two-level topology.Lower voltage stress means lower conduction losses and switching losses leading to higher efficiency.The three-level output makes VIENNA rectifier a better harmonic characteristic.And compared to the traditional three-level topology,VIENNA rectifier has fewer power device making it easier to control.Hence,VIENNA rectifier is widly applied.In this paper the work principle is introduced and the math model of VIENNA rectifier is established through the deduction of formulas.Then,the control strategy and the design of controller of VIENNA rectifier is introduced.And the modulation methods of VIENNA rectifier are introduced.The characteristic of Sine Pulse Width modulation(SVPWM)and the Space Vector Modulation(SVPWM)are analyzed.Besides,a Discontionous PWM(DPWM)method suitable for VIENNA rectifier is introduced which is able to reduce the switching losses and improve the harmonic characteristic.Finally,the hardware design and the establishment of VIENNA rectifier platform is introduced.And all the control stragegy and modulation method has been verified by simulation and experiment results. |
