Abstract/Summary:
High-speed railway is a major breakthrough in transportation technology in the 20th century.The operation of high-speed railway has promoted the development of tourism and logistics industries along the line.It also has a strong driving role for equipment manufacturing industry and traditional heavy industry.The high-speed rail also has the conditions to become an independent industry.Studying high-speed railway from the perspective of industry has important practical significance for clarifying the role of the high-speed railway industry as a whole in economic and social development,strengthening the correlation effect of the high-speed railway industry,optimizing the industrial policy of China’s high-speed railway,and clarifying the investment direction of high-speed railway construction.In the past,most of the research focused on the regional economic role,technical and economic effects,and environmental protection effects of high-speed railway.Most of the high-speed railway is regarded as an investment project or a means of transportation to analyze the impact of high-speed railway on related industries before and after the opening of high-speed railway.This paper starts from the industrial perspective and studies whether the high-speed railway is an independent industry,defines the boundary of the high-speed railway industry,and defines the high-speed railway industry.Further,qualitatively and quantitatively explain the correlation effect of high-speed railway on related industries from the perspective of the high-speed railway industry as a whole.The input-output table is an important tool for reflecting the relationship between input and output among various departments and for researching industrial linkages.The input-output table is comprehensive and contains all sectors of the national economy.Using the input-output table,the high-speed railway can be fully analyzed.Based on the previous studies,this paper uses the 2012 value-based input-output table for empirical research.First,analyzes the composition of each department in the China 2012 Input-Output Table Sector Interpretation and Code,and combines the national economic industry.The classification divides the existing departments into more detailed calculations,and use the large amount of data such as the number of high-speed railway vehicles,prices,passenger revenue,and high-speed railway investment in the statistics to calculate.The civil engineering construction department is divided into high-speed railway engineering buildings,ordinary railway engineering buildings and other engineering buildings;railway transportation and urban rail transit equipment is divided into high-speed railway equipment manufacturing,ordinary railway equipment manufacturing and urban rail transit locomotive equipment manufacturing;The transport is divided into high-speed railway transport and ordinary rail transport,and finally re-consolidated to form an input-output table for the 140 sector.Based on the adjusted input-output table,the consumption coefficient,distribution coefficient,influence coefficient and sensitivity coefficient are calculated to explain the front and back related industries of the high-speed railway industry.The study draws the following conclusions:(1)The high-speed railway industry has significant backward correlation effect with industries such as construction materials and equipment manufacturing.(2)The forward-related effect of the high-speed railway industry is more obvious for the tertiary industry,and the forward-related industries of the ordinary railway industry are concentrated in the secondary industry.(3)The forward and backward linkage effects of the high-speed railway industry and the financial industry are significant.In summary,the further construction of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal”high-speed railway network is of great significance for strengthening the related role of China’s high-speed railway industry,promoting the development and upgrading of China’s manufacturing industry,promoting the development of related service industries,and releasing the ordinary railway freight transport capacity.
