The loading interface in video viewing affects user experience. There have been a large number of studies on the Loading design, including the influencing factors and their psychological mechanisms. However, previous studies have neglected the important factor of interaction. Therefore, whether interactive design affects Loading's time perception and user experience needs further verification and in-depth discussion.Furthermore, how does the difficulty and self-involvement of interactive tasks affect Loading's subjective time perception and task satisfaction? Finally, how can the effects of interactive design be adjusted by the length of Loading presentation?Three experiments were designed to solve the above problems. In experiment 1,the previous studies are further validated by the improved experimental design and measurement methods, examining whether interactive design has real advantages over traditional design in terms of Loading time perception and user satisfaction. The results show that interactive design does improve user experience:compared with non-interactive design, users have shorter time perception and higher satisfaction with interactive design. In experiment 2,based on the results of experiment 1,the effects of task difficulty and self-involvement in interactive design on user's Loading time perception and satisfaction are further investigated. The results show that the difficulty and involvement of interactive design have a very important impact on user experience:the lower the task difficulty and the higher the degree of self-involvement,the shorter the user's time perception and the higher the satisfaction. In experiment 3,the influence of composite design combined with interactive and non-interactive design(progress bar)on Loading is further investigated. The results show that interaction and non-interaction are the decisive factors affecting user experience:adding non-interactive elements(progress bars)to interactive design can not significantly reduce user's time perception, nor can it increase user satisfaction. The above results show that interactive design is superior to non-interactive design, and the optimal user experience Loading design should be a low-difficulty and high-involvement design mode. For the first time, this study examines the impact of interactive design on Loading time perception and user experience of online video from two basic dimensions of interactive design:task difficulty and self-involvement,and obtains the optimal design that affects the Loading process, which provides a new direction and ideas for the design of related Internet products, and can be extended to other products including waiting process to a certain extent, providing meaningful reference guidance for relevant situations.
