As the node of urban road traffic network,intersection has an important influence on the service level of the whole road network.Although the traffic flow of unsignalized intersections is small,there is no signal management control in unsignalized intersections,the operation is disordered,so it is one of the main sources of delay in the road network.In order to make no signal intersection operation safer and more efficient,developed countries have developed a series of rules according to the difference of intersection road types and geometric characteristics,such as All-way Stop-controlled and Two-way Stop-controlled.However,there is no scientific and mature management for such intersections in China.Under the background,this paper discusses the All-way Stop-controlled intersections.The main research work and conclusions are as follows:(1)The conflicts between pedestrians and vehicles in All-way Stop-controlled intersections are analyzed,and the conflicts are divided into 12 types according to the difference of space relative position between pedestrians and approaches.Then in order to make the model more realistic,these types are divided into two situations:pedestrians crossing halfway and pedestrians crossing completely,and then modeling separately.Measured data and simulation data are used for verifieation model.The defects of the existing simulation platform are pointed out.(2)The existing simulation platform cannot truly simulate the vehicle operation at All-way Stop-controlled intersections,which is found during simulation verification.In order to solve this problem,a simulation model of intersection satisfying the All-way Stop-controlled rule is built,which considers the rules of vehicle and pedestrian generation,vehicle queuing,conflict judgment,vehicle departure.Based on the two situations of pedestrians crossing halfway and crossing completely proposed in the above analysis,the delay caused by pedestrians to vehicles was considered,the logical relationship between each simulation module was established,and a vehicle simulation model of the All-way Stop-controlled intersections is built.(3)The self-built vehicle simulation model is verified by the measured data.Recording an All-way Stop-controlled intersection by video in Reno,USA,and extracting the required data.Relevant parameters are input into Vissim,Synchro and self-built simulation model respectively.By comparing the error with the measured data,the simulation accuracy of each platform is reflected.The results show that the self-built simulation model has higher accuracy and reliability,while the results of other simulation software differ greatly from the measured data.
