Wireless location technology is widely used in navigation,indoor positioning,radio monitoring,electronic countermeasures,obstacle avoidance and other systems that need to determine the target location.Because of the radio propagation has rules that can be followed,the positioning system often estimates the position of the target by measuring the parameters of the radio signal,and selects the signal strength of arrival as a parameter which has low cost and low energy consumption.Using mobile single-station measurement data for positioning has the advantages of flexible equipment,simple structure,and no need to perform signal interaction and coordinated transmission between multiple direction-finding platforms.The purpose of this paper is to find the position of radio transmitter by using the intensity data of radio wave arrival signal and GPS data obtained from vehicle mobile measurement.Firstly,the paper introduces the background and significance of the method based on the signal strength of arrival,expounds the research status of the location method,and analysis the fading during radio wave propagation and multiple signal propagation models.Then the target function is derived,the model is established,the target position is obtained,and the method is verified by experiments.Finally,based on this method,a mobile measurement and location system is designed and implemented.The main work of this paper is described as follows:(1)This paper presents a direct positioning method for mobile measurement based on signal strength.The radio transmitter location is regarded as a nonlinear optimization problem.Establishing an observation model through the law of wave propagation,combining the parameters to be estimated in the model,and using the particle swarm optimization algorithm to obtain the optimal solution.(2)Design experiments in a real environment to verify the method and compare it with existing location methods.In the data preprocessing,the dynamic window method is proposed to solve the problem of uneven distribution of collected data.Use DBSCAN to solve the problem of positioning result beating.(3)Design and implement a mobile measurement and positioning system to verify the application effect of the proposed method in actual radio monitoring work.After theoretical analysis and actual location verification,Vehicle mobile location method based on signal intensity for radio transmitter is effective in practical monitoring work,providing the radio monitoring staff with accurate target source position estimation.
