With the rapid development of LED industry,more and more high power products have been born.Due to the limitations of current semiconductor manufacturing technology,there are more than 80% of the input power will be converted into heat,which makes the heat dissipating problem the focus of the industry.Through our experiments,we found that the copper net can be used as LED heat sink.But there is no experimental measurements for its heat dissipation performance,neither nor the corresponding theoretical analysis method,the credibility of the theoretical analysis still has no corresponding experimental support.And the methods as well as the test devices for common metal radiator performance test can’t meet the requirements of the copper net radiator.In order to confirm and develop copper net radiator,this paper proposes a method and apparatus for testing copper net radiator heat dissipation performance.The method is convenient and practical and can provide accurate heat dissipation power,the study provides a new idea about heat dissipation performance test of copper net radiator as well as similar net structure metal radiator.First,we study from the basic theory of heat dissipation in this paper.Analysing the main heat dissipation characteristics of the copper net,determine the convective heat transfer coefficient h as the main parameters of its heat dissipation performance.Combined with the physical characteristics of the material itself,on the summary and analysis of the convective heat transfer coefficient concentional testing method,introduced experimental performance test method which transfers the heat dissipating power by electric heating of the copper net radiator.Then,we introduce the overall scheme of the test system,the hardware circuit design based on the ARM9 core processor i MX283,ATT7022 B electric parameter acquisition module and MAX6675 temperature acquisition module,and explains the modular software design of the system in detail.Finally,we carry out contrast experiments of copper net heat dissipation performance in different material types and different mesh number.Discussed the corresponding optimization and error analysis of the experiments.Gave the heat dissipation performance characterization parameter of copper net radiator,which is the convection heat transfer coefficient h and the metal heat strength.Verified the feasibility of the heat dissipation performance testing system.The data and conclusions obtained in this paper are of great significance for further improvement and optimization of the design and application of copper net radiator.
