With the growing usage of domestic stone in life and the growing concept of low-carbon living ideas,the application range of stone in various industries has been continuously improved.Therefore,the demand of quality detection in stone processing becomes more severe for industries.The color recognition is an important part of stone quality detection of the stone.Through the color recognition of the polished stone surface,it provides a basic database for the following process and design of stone.Currently,the color recognition of the polished stone surface is mainly detected artificially.While the meyhod of artificial detection too many disadvantages,including long time,large intensity,low efficiency,poor working cordition,and subjective judgment.Therefore,it is necessary to realize the color recognition of the stone surface automatically.Aiming at solving the problem of color detection in the actual production of stone enterprises,this thesis designs a polishing stone surface color recognition system based on machine vision detection technology combined with image processing technology and MATLAB programming software.The main research contents of this thesis are as follows:(1)The research on image processing technology.The images of polished stone were collected by the CCD industrial camera and input into the computer.The pretreatment of polished stone image,such as denoising and smoothing,was done,which provides a basis for the subsequent color recognition.(2)The color recognition of stone surface.Firstly,the threshold is set,for the process of the polished stone image,and a binarized image is obtained.Secondly the color characteristic value of the polished stone images are extracted.Finally,the polished stone color is defined through matching the extracted color characteristic values with standard of polished stone.(3)The design of hardware system.According to the design requirements,the hardware suitable for the system is selected,including lighting equipment,optical lens,CCD industrial camera and image acquisition software.The color recognition system of polished stone surface was constructed according to the selected hardware.(4)The design of software system.The control program of the stone surface color recognition system is completed on MATLAB in this thesis.MATLAB system functions and programming are called to complete the process of images and the recognition of color,and writing interface to control the color recognition system.Through the combination of hardware design and software programming control,the color reconigition of polished stone surface was realized.The system can be applied to the stone processing production equipment,to fill the gaps that the automatic detection of the stone surface color for domestic stone enterprise is not achieved.A basic platform for subsequent stone decoration design was established,which can raise the utilization rate of stone,reduce the artificial cost and management cost of the stone production.
