Seepage is critical to the stability of the tailings dam.The engineering practice proves that the laying of geotextiles on the tailings dam can improve the seepage stability of the dam.Thus,based on the fluid-solid coupling theory,the study on the influence of geotextiles on the seepage stability of the tailings dam is carried out,which has important engineering practical significance for the construction and safe operation of the tailings dam.Under the framework of seepage consolidation theory and fluid-solid coupling theory,this paper determines the physical and mechanical parameters of tailings dam tail sand by laboratory test,and uses FLAC3 D software to simulate the stress-deformation law of the seepage-stress field of tailings dam and analyze different working conditions.The influence of geotextiles on the seepage stability of the tailings dam in the lower tailings dam leads to the following main conclusions:(1)The study of seepage-stress of tailings dam is more realistic when analyzed by unsaturated fluid-solid coupling theory.The effects of geotextile on the seepage of the tailings dam under different working conditions were analyzed.It was found that the geotextile played an active role in reducing settlement and improving thestress distribution in the tailings dam.(2)The maximum displacement of the tailings dam appears on the inside of the tailings pond.The coupling effect and the influence of laying geotextiles have a significant effect on the displacement of the tailings dam.When taking into account the fluid-solid coupling effect,the settlement of the tailings dam is generally larger than that of the fluid-solid coupling,and the displacement at the water-soil junction changes significantly.The laying of geotextiles has a significant positive effect on reducing the settlement of the dam.Under the fluid-solid coupling,the pore water pressure is evenly distributed throughout the tailings dam.Therefore,in practical engineering,the influence of the seepage field on the stress field must be considered and the seepage and stress fields must be coupled.(3)Under the influence of fluid-solid coupling,the influence of geotextile under different working conditions is analyzed,and it is found that the influence on the seepage field of the tailings dam is more obvious,and the positive effect of geotextile is especially obvious when the water level changes sharply;When studying the safety of geotextiles to tailings dams under working conditions,it is found that the safety and stability of the dams are greatly improved.(4)As a kind of reinforced material,geotextile can be used to improve the characteristics of tailings dam accumulation dam in essence,its own good tensile performance and drainage effect,can improve the safety and stability of tailings dam well;In the design of tailings dam,it is necessary to consider the coupling effect and the influence of different layers of geotextiles on the seepage stability ofthe tailings dam under different working conditions,and rationally arrange the drainage measures of the tailings dam to enhance vertical and transverse drainage of dam.The horizontal drainage measures can improve the safety and stability of the tailings dam.
