With the rapid development of multimedia information technology,more and more media information appears in people's production and life,image is an important means for people to obtain information.Digital image processing has been widely used in many fields.Power energy supports the economic lifeline of the country,Whether the power grid system can operate safely and steadily is a major issue concerning the national economy and people's livelihood.With the continuous expansion of the scale of power grid and the increasing load of power grid caused by the increase of power consumption,more and more high-voltage equipments are damaged and faulted.The power grid image can reflect the real-time operation status of power equipment to a certain extent,and it is of great practical significance to study it.Electric power equipment has been exposed to natural environment for a long time.Smart equipment is affected by weather conditions,shooting distance and shooting angle.The images acquired show different states in brightness,size and angle.Image matching and recognition technology are more and more used in power grid image processing,and image matching is often the basis of image recognition.SIFT algorithm is a classical algorithm in the field of image matching.The features extracted from SIFT algorithm can maintain certain robustness to image scaling,rotation,brightness and other transformations.Therefore,it is an important research direction to apply SIFT algorithm to power grid image processing.Firstly,the implementation steps of SIFT algorithm are described in detail from a mathematical point of view.The derivation process of many mathematical formulas involved in the algorithm is given.A simple one-to-one matching experiment is carried out to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm.The numerical experiments show that for complex background images,the features extracted by SIFT algorithm are susceptible to background interference and mismatching occurs.Based on this,we construct an image matching system which combines SIFT,OTSU and RANSAC.The numerical experiments show that the system can effectively improve the matching accuracy on the basis of classical SIFT algorithm.Then,based on the self-built priori shape library,we study the one-to-many and many-to-many matching problem of SIFT algorithm on insulator image.The numerical experiments show that the combination of SIFT and RANSAC can more accurately find the target to be detected in the standard image with multiple targets,even if the target to be detected has scale,rotation and other transformations relative to the standard image.The research results and follow-up research work of this subject can provide useful reference for power system and other relevant departments,and have great application prospects.
