In recent years,with the rapid development of the aircraft industry and the pursuing of higher economical efficiency,safety and comfort,the application of carbon fiber epoxy composite in the large passenger aircraft has gradually increased.However,most of the substrates of carbon fiber epoxy composite are easy to burn at the high temperature,in the meanwhile,a large amount of smoke and toxic substances are released during the combustion.There are many serious threats to lives,properties and aircraft flight safety.According to Thermogravimetric analysis,the epoxy resin is the main thermal decomposition of the first and second stages of the T800 interlayer toughened epoxy resin carbon fiber with unidirectional tape during the pyrolyses process at four heating rates.T800 carbon fiber is the main substance in the third stage.The similar phenomenon happened at four heating rates.The initial pyrolysis temperature,the final pyrolysis temperature,and the maximum weight loss rate in each of the three stages at each heating rate also move to the higher temperature.The range of the pyrolysis temperature also becomes higher,and the weight loss rate also becomes higher.the calculation of the pyrolysis experimental parameters of the material shows that the thermalstability of the T800 interlayer toughened epoxy carbon fiber with unidirectional tape is higher than the epoxy resin matrix.Combined with the scanning electron microscopic topography and the cone calorimetry test of those two materials,the combustion material of T800 interlayer toughened epoxy resin carbon fiber with unidirectional tape is epoxy resin.The burning tendency and spreading speed of epoxy resin are effectively curbed by T800 carbon fiber,which delays the time to ignition,the heat release time and the time to the peak rate of heat release.When the temperature is raised to 1069 K,the mass loss rate,smoke release rate,fire growth index and totally heat release index of the T800 composite are significantly lower,in the meanwhile,the hazard and thermal damage of fire are smaller.The flame retardant mechanism of the T800 interlayer toughened epoxy resin carbon fiber unidirectional tape is the flame retardant cladding mechanism.The composite material is thermally decomposed into a stable carbon layer in the higher temperature relatively,and covering the surface of the composite material,the heat generated in the combustion process can hardly be transferred into the interior of material,which has the effect of fire prevention and flame retardant. |
