With the rapid development of highway construction in our country ,specially in the high-grade highway, the quantity and construction scale of highway tunnel became larger and larger. However ,because traffic accidents existented many shortcomings in the tunnel cement road surface, the bituminous pavement is becoming the tunnel road surface paving the mainstream, also even its tendency. But the asphalt is the ignitable material, there existented fire hidden danger in the using of asphalt mixture was applied in tunnel surface construction. Much more times accidents because of this reason visted in many countys,which reasulted the research of flame-resistant asphalt became meaningful!This article chosed suitable variety separately from admixture bromine– stibium which most applied in domestic and aboard. Then , by different mixes in them the quantity, mixes in separately to PE, the lake asphalt and in the SBS modified asphalt, through the oxygen index experiment, screens the appropriate burning inhibitor variety, the specification and mixes the quantity, develops adapts in the SBS modified asphalt use compound burning inhibitor. Then the compound burning inhibitor which develops joins to three kind of different SBS modified asphalt in enters travels with the performance researchand the being flame-resistant performance research, with by determined its can adapt in is flame-resistant SBS modified asphalt.Through the massive experiments, this article developed the compound burning inhibitor which adapted in the modified asphalt. Through massive experiments in different asphalt variety, different burning inhibitor content being flame-resistant modified asphalt, it appraised the technical performance of flame-resistant modified asphalt and meantime provided the technical support for the wide application of flame-resistant modified asphalt. Has conducted the research through the experiment to the bituminous material limit oxygen index testing method, and oxygen index experiment as well as vertical burning test study which carries on to the preparation being flame-resistant modified asphalt and so on, it comprehensively appraised the being flame-resistant modified asphalt's flame-resistant performance, and provided the effective method for the evaluation in bituminous material being flame-resistant's performance.
