China's railways are in a period of great development,and there are great potential development of the northwest region.A correct understanding of the construction and layout of the railway network in the northwest region will provide theoretical support and policy advice for the better development and planning of railways in the northwest region.The second and third chapters of this paper analyze the development path of China's railways and the characteristics of China's railway network,and then summarize the development of railways in the Northwest.This paper mainly analyzes the construction of the railway network in the northwest region from two aspects:Based on the complex network theory,this paper analyzes the topological construction of railway physical network in Northwest China by using Pajke and R Project.By comparing the high-speed railway and the general railway network,the conclusion shows that the development of the railway in northwest China is slow and backward,it also has fewer connected cities,poor connectivity,but great potential for development.Considering the high-speed rail being built,the connectivity is better,but the high-speed rail still needs more development compared with ordinary Railway.This Considers both high-speed railwayand ordinary railway,analyzes the reliability of the railway network in the northwest region,through attacking the node cities,the conclusion shows that the reliability of the entire network is poor,and the impact of the less important cities on the overall network is very little.Most previous researchp focused on the nodes,edges and density of the road network.However,the road network density can only analyze the length of the railway line in a unit area from a limited aspect,but can not analyze the Uniformity of line distribution,which is the Spatial distribution characteristics of railway lines.Therefor,this paper uses ArcGIS software to study the network coverage of Northwest China based on fractal theory.After studying the coverage of the railway network in Gansu Province,Shanxi Province,Qinghai Province,Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,the conclusion shows that the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has the highest railway coverage,followed by Gansu Province,Shaanxi Province,and Qinghai Province and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.The coverage depth reflects the road network connectivity from the other aspect,The lower the coverage represents the better connectivity of the road network.The conclusion of this paper shows that Shanxi Province has the lowest coverage depth,followed by Gansu Province,Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Qinghai Province.The end of the article optimizes the structure of the railway network in the northwest region by adding loops and new lines,and proves the feasibility of the program through calculation.It Proposes reasonable suggestions for the development and planning of the railway network in the Northwest.
