Due to the advent of the digital war era,the battlefield model has undergone earth-shaking changes.The evolution of the previous cluster operations to elite operations required the national military to significantly improve the individual combat and squad combat effectiveness.The "land warrior" individual soldier system developed by the United States in the early years and the "Dragon Warrior"individual soldier system developed in China both are composite combat system equipments integrated with communication,positioning,and protection,of which individual communications equipment is a very important part.If you can achieve high-definition video transmission,you can know the battlefield situation in real time in the command center,grasp the battlefield dynamics,and increase the odds of the mission.In the complex scenario of special tasks,multipath effects,environmental noise and other factors will affect the efficiency and reliability of video communication.To this end,this paper explores the use of anti-error,anti-multipath COFDM technology and high compression ratio H.265 technology,with FPGA as the core to design an efficient and reliable soldier video communication system.This paper firstly conducts literature research on the basis of previous studies,describes the development status of individual video communication and wireless video transmission technology at home and abroad,analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the individual soldier video communication system designed by the predecessors,and proposes the paper's Objectives and main research content.After that,this paper deeply analyzes the system requirements of individual video communication,introduces COFDM technology,H.265 video codec technology,and explores the video communication solution that integrates the two with FPGA as the core.In the following content,the selection and design of the hardware platform are introduced,the establishment of the wireless transceiver link of the individual video communication system is completed,and the RS codec,convolutional interleaving/deinterleaver and convolutional coding are elaborated.The principle and design of decoder,interleaving/de-interleaving encoder,channel estimation,COFDM modulation and demodulation,etc.,complete the FPGA-based COFDM baseband modulation and demodulation algorithm for single-chip video communication system.Finally,a test platform for simulating multipath conditions was built in the lab.The results show that the system can realize reliable data transmission under certain multipath interference,and it is suitable for video communication tasks in complex outdoor environment and multi-path interference urban environment.
