Study On The Resistance Of Three Kinds Of Ground Cover Plants In South China

With the development of society,the process of urbanization has brought a great negative impact on the urban ecological environment,and the rational construction of urban landscape greening can effectively alleviate the adverse factors brought by urbanization.Ground cover plant is an essential part of urban landscaping construction.However,alien species still occupy a large proportion of the land cover resources used in Guangzhou at present,and the rural land cover plants in South China have great potential for exploitation.Therefore,in order to enrich the diversity of urban ground cover plants and provide more plant selection for Guangzhou urban garden construction,the present situation of application of cover plants in Guangzhou park green space was investigated.Selection of three excellent land cover plants in South China Township that have not yet been developed or applied: Melastoma dodecandrum,Senecio scandens,Piper sarmentosum was tested for shade tolerance,drought tolerance and heat resistance.Finally,AHP analytic hierarchy process was used to evaluate the garden application value of three kinds of ground cover plants.In order to provide scientific basis and suggestion for the exploitation and utilization of these three ground cover plants.The conclusions of this study are as follows:1?In this paper,the species of ground cover plant resources in 10 urban parks in Guangzhou city,the frequency of application and the application mode were recorded and statistically analyzed.There are102 species of ground cover plants in Guangzhou park green space,belonging to 53 families.The ground cover plants used in Guangzhou park green space have a high degree of abundance.2?Through shading test,the potential photochemical efficiency,maximum photochemical efficiency,chlorophyll content,Specific Leaf Weight,leaf water content,proline content and so on were measured under different shading conditions,and their comprehensive evaluation was carried out by using membership function method.It was concluded that the shade tolerance ability of the three land cover plants in South China was in the order of Piper sarmentosum > Senecio scandens > Melastoma dodecandrum.3?The soil water content,relative conductivity,chlorophyll content,malondialdehyde(MDA)content and free proline content of plants under drought stress were measured.The comprehensive evaluation of drought resistance was carried out by using the method of membership function.The results showed that the drought resistance ability of the three land cover plants in South China was in the order of Melastoma dodecandrum > Piper sarmentosum > Senecio scandens.4?By means of electrical conductivity method and Logistic equation,the temperature half lethal high temperatures of three ground cover plants were determined to be Melastoma dodecandrum57.37?,Senecio scandens53.56? and Piper sarmentosum60.39?.The results showed that the heat resistanceability of the three land cover plants in South China was in the order of Piper sarmentosum > Melastoma dodecandrum > Senecio scandens..The half lethal high temperature of the three ground cover plants are above 50? respectively,and all of them have good heat resistance.5?By using Analytic hierarchy process,the value of garden application of three kinds of land cover plants in South China was evaluated.The three kinds of land cover plants in South China showed excellent performance in all aspects.The highest score in the land cover is Melastoma dodecandrum,and their appreciation and resistance were excellent.Suitable for large-scale popularization and application;Secondly,Piper sarmentosum,because of its slightly intolerant light,can be planted in a large area under the forest environment;Finally,Senecio scandense's resistance of adversity is relatively weak,but its ornamental value is high,can be used as appropriate to promote flowers or flower beds.
