The Application Of Color In Packaging Design

Packaging design is one of the most comprehensive and commercial items in the category of graphic design.Packaging is just like a medium connecting designers and consumers.Various goods are sold on the shelves.The most visually striking part of the package is the color.Chapter one mainly introduces the significance and background of this thesis.JinDi chocolate is a domestic chocolate brand,in recent years,the sales performance gradually declined,analysis of the reasons;The lack of features in packaging is one of the main reasons,so this paper takes the theme of JinDi chocolate and redesigns the series of product packaging through the expression of color.The second chapter mainly introduces the basic concepts of packaging design.Packaging belongs to the discipline of graphic design.Especially color can give a person intuitionistic feeling.The third chapter mainly introduces the color trend of packaging design.The color used in the design is not only pure color,but also endowed with a language.Different colors convey different information.Color application in packaging design should pay attention to avoid national taboo or unlucky color,the overall style should be positive.The fourth chapter mainly introduces the design process of my work.I choose the brand of JinDi chocolate to carry out the series design,among which five representative flavors are selected as the content of this design.They are:milk chocolate,nut cereal chocolate,raisin chocolate,sandwich chocolate,raisin chocolate.As a domestic brand,JinDi chocolate not only represents its own image,but also represents the overall style of domestic chocolate packaging design.Redesigning the brand packaging from the perspective of color can give consumers more direct visual experience.
