Urban building height is the expression of urban spatial form in the vertical dimension,which can directly reflect the urban landscape and is of great significance to urban development.Therefore,the design control of urban height is an important part of urban design.In the current information in the context of globalization,digital technology can provide traditional urban design method with the new research Angle of view and model,ArcGIS digital integration technology can be very good for multivariate data visualization processing operations and geographic elements,in the study of building height control aspect more and more tend to use digital technology,ArcGIS to urban construction level analysis to design and management of the whole process.This paper takes xihua county,henan province as the research object,discusses relevant theories,technical support and implementation methods to build the urban building height control process based on ArcGIS platform,and applies the theory and method of high control to practical projects to provide basis for urban construction management and spatial form optimization.The paper is divided into five chapters:In chapter 1,the research background,purpose and significance are sorted out,and the research contents and methods are introduced.In chapter 2,existing studies at home and abroad are summarized from two aspects of height control theory and ArcGIS technology application.Meanwhile,practical cases of building height control at home and abroad are integrated.On this basis,the research process design of building height control supported by ArcGIS is carried out.In chapter 3,the technical process is introduced,starting from the concept analysis.Based on the operational principle,the multi-factor evaluation method and GIS quantitative analysis technology are applied to construct the basic model of urban building height evaluation.Corrected the height control model of urban buildings through ArcGIS line of sight analysis and 3d simulation.In chapter 4,an example of building height control in the central urban area of xihua county is selected to construct an evaluation system of building height control through screening influencing factors.The basic model of building height evaluation is constructed by combining spatial data quantization and overlay analysis of ArcGIS.By virtue of ArcGIS 3d simulation technology,the building height design was modified from the two aspects of the protection of important urban landscape nodes and the optimization of urban skyline,and the result of building height control in the central urban area of xihua county was formed.
