The increase of traffic demand with the car ownership increases,city population expansion and travel frequently have been causing traffic congestion and environmental pollution problems become increasingly serious,which seriously hinderes the city social and economic development.As a sustainable traffic concept,green travel will gradually become a new trend of residents' daily travel.How to combine the green travel concept with the road network planning has become an urgent problem for traffic planners.However,there is still a lack of research on the urban road network structure with characteristics of green travel in small and medium-sized cities.So,the concept of green travel is introduced into the study of road network structure,that is in order to provide some reference for the green transportation planning.First of all,the paper defines the concept of green travel and introduce the green travel theories.And analysing the characteristics of green travel in small and medium-sized city combined with the travel survey data of residents in four small and medium-sized city.Secondly,A indexes system met the needs of the green travel is set up a based on the principle and necessity of the road functional classification under the green travel.And determining the green level standard of each index reference to the relevant norms.Then clustering analysis on the score of each index to divide the road into traffic function,life function and comprehensive function by using the method of grey fixed weight clustering in small and medium-sized cities.Then,the paper analyses the existing problems of road classification at home and abroad,and determines the distribution of travel distance and the advantage travel distance of each grade road according to the resident trip survey data and related research results,and deeply researches the interaction mechanism between trip distribution and road grade configuration by travel distance.On this basis,get the demand turnover of green traffic on different grades of roads by turning the car trip to the green traffic trip.The supply of road facilities is determined in three parts:motorized lane,non motorized lane and sidewalk.the road resource allocation of the three types of road system is determined,which take the supply and demand balance as the goal,and the road grade gradation which satisfies the travel demand of the public traffic should be put forward.At last the road grade gradation of the green travel mode is compared with the current road grade configuration and the standard to the recommended value of medium and small cities.Finally,introducing the characteristics of the road network layout of the green travel mode,and dividing the network into slow traffic unit and traffic corridor.The process of slow traffic unit classification to structure skeleton determination to unit interior road network optimization is adopted,that is the slow traffic unit can be divided into important nodes,more important nodes and general nodes by means of node importance and clustering analysis at first,secondly,the network framework is formed using the importance degree of traffic location ine.Finally,the are fully integrated and linked,and so as to complete the internal route of the slow moving unit by integrating and linking the internal elements and extending to the interior of the slow unit.A green traffic network is formed,which take non-traffic as the main mode in short distance and public transportation in long distance,the method is applied to the planning of Kaili road network at last.
