With the transformation and upgrading of China's economic structure and the development trend of diversification of tourism industry,residential accommodation as a supplementary form of accommodation industry has risen in China.Driven by the upsurge of rural residential development,the development of residential industry in recent years has begun to focus on the city.Relying on the historical and cultural resources of the city,most of the old buildings with rich historical and cultural information in the revival of the historical and cultural blocks are regarded as the space carrier of the urban residential quarters.Their greatest value lies not in providing accommodation service functions,but in activating the use value of the old buildings in the blocks,stimulating the development vitality of the historical and cultural blocks,and promoting the sustainable development of the old buildings in the cities.Exhibition.Nowadays,with the continuous progress of urbanization,more and more old buildings in historical and cultural blocks with urban cultural context are gradually submerged in modern cities with the changes of the times,facing the fate of large demolition and construction.This article hopes that under the background of national policy to promote the overall protection and revival of historical and cultural blocks,the use of historic old buildings in urban residential design will continue the use value and historical and cultural value of the old buildings in the revival of historical and cultural blocks,and through the regionalized design of urban residential buildings,tourists will most intuitively feel the way of life of local residents and local customs,and create a unique style.City business cards with cultural characteristics.At the same time,it plays an active role in disseminating urban culture,developing local tourism industry and stimulating the new vitality of historical and cultural blocks.The overall idea of this paper first defines the concept of urban residential quarters on the basis of the interpretation of the concept of residential quarters,and differentiates the differences between urban residential quarters,hotels and rural residential quarters.At the same time,it elaborates the relevant theories of urban residential design,and concludes three main characteristics of the current status of urban residential design in China through the field investigation of urban historical and cultural blocks: lack of place culture,fragmentation of external environment,and confusion of internal space.Secondly,aiming atthese three characteristics,this paper puts forward corresponding design strategies for the construction of urban residential quarters under the background of the revival of historical and cultural blocks,namely,the strategy of cultural regeneration of urban residential quarters,the strategy of unification of external environment of urban residential quarters,and the strategy of integration of internal space of urban residential quarters.Finally,the strategy of urban residential building under the background of the revival of historic and cultural blocks is applied to the case study of the urban residential design of the historical and old buildings of the 7th courtyard of Kaifeng Production Back Street to clarify the design orientation and establish the design concept.Under the guidance of the system design method,the cultural artistic conception of urban residential sites,the external architectural form of urban residential buildings and the internal spatial pattern of urban residential buildings are taken into account.Inter-effective solutions provide accurate theoretical research and practical basis for exploring the urban residential design under the background of the revival of historical and cultural blocks.
