Research On The Landscape Character Assessment Of Urban Green Space In Tongzhou District In Beijing

Under the background of global urbanization,even if China promotes the construction of"Beautiful China" to ease the problems of ecological environment destruction,regional features disappearance,and the city's indefinite spread,the imbalance and fragmentation of land and landscape management are still difficult problems at present.However,the urban green space,as the spaee and place for the connection of urban areas and villages,as well as the transition of human settlement environment and ecological environment,has become increasingly important because of a breach of China's current landscape research with its scenic characteristics with dual attributes of humanities and nature.What's more,for Tongzhou District of Beijing,which is the subject of this study,its future planning position-the construction of a "city sub-center" further enhanced the urgency of the overall management of green spaces based on landscape features.First,based on the above background,the paper summarizes the shortcomings of the existing landscape planning management system in China with domestic and international theoretical studies,and selects appropriate theoretical methods to fill in the gaps and even support the green space landscape management in the Tongzhou District of Beijing.Furthermore,through the comparison of the domestic and international theories,we conclude that there are four shortcomings in theoretical system of China:the lack of objective comprehensiveness of landscape perception,the ambiguity of planning objectives,the lack of continuity of planning levels,and the tendency of planning procedures to become rigid.Moreover,since European and Chinese landscapes are also affected by thousands of years of quiet farming,the European landscape character assessment system is in essence an important guiding significance for the development of China's landscape planning and management.Secondly,this paper establishes a landscape feature evaluation system that is consistent with the future development goals of green space in Tongzhou District based on the international experience in the evaluation of landscape features in Europe to guide the overall management of the landscape.Specifically,the Belgian landscape feature map,the assessment of the scenic features of Worcestershire,England,and the evaluation of Hong Kong landscape features were reviewed,summed up,and compared.Then we choose the appropriate practical experience from the four aspects of landscape feature assessment framework,feature selection,feature identification,and feature evaluation to construct the scenic characteristics evaluation system of Tongzhou regional green space.Finally,based on the basic frame of landscape feature evaluation,this paper classifies and describes the landscape feature types of green space in Tongzhou District from two levels.Further,we evaluate the ecological sensitivity and recreational suitability of the landscape features,as well as judging each landscape feature type and dividing them into four development goals of planning:optimization,control,protection,and restoration.Through the research on the evaluation of green space landscape characteristics in Tongzhou District of Beijing,we can preliminarily agree that this method system is feasible for China to develop a comprehensive,scientific,holistic and flexible landscape planning management system.
