A Study Of Popular Science Park Planning And Design

"The popularization of science and technology",is aimed at promoting the public understanding of science and improving the public science literacy.The career of science popularization in our country is very inadequate,one of the problems is backward place construction.Popular science park is a kind of landscape where science popularization can be carried out basing on its facilities,places,and natural environment.But the lack of relevant theory and research is blocking the holistic progress of popular science parks.In this paper,principle and method in popular science park design are explored.In the first,the related theories of science popularization are studied,including core content,goals,rationale,principles,history and trend,and the current problems of science popularization in our country are pointed out.Next,this paper gathered the theoretical basis of experience design to generalize the ideas and references for popularizing science,referring to cognitive theory,the flow theory and theater model theory.Then the paper compared related definitions of popular science park and studied its origins,history and status quo,so as to get a more proper definition and made the differences clear.In the conclusion part,the paper listed principles in popular science park design such as scientificity,artistry,educational,public welfare,protection with utilization.The design methods,common elements are also discussed in this part,and cases at home and abroad are also enumerated to prove our points.Finally the conclusions are applied to the project of Mentougou Ecological Restoration Science Park.
