As one of the important indexes of the test system,velocity parameters can reflect the motion characteristics of objects well and are widely used in the fields of national defense and military,transportation and scientific research.In the measurement of moving target velocity parameters in large-caliber gun bore,the target velocity reflects the law of target motion,and the test of its velocity has important practical application value.The frequency range of X-band ranges from 8GHz to 12GHz,which is characterized by large bandwidth,narrow beam and high angular resolution.X-bond is widely used in doppler speed-measuring system.In radar system,the radar radio frequency front-end plays an important role in the system's performance.Based on the analysis of the research status at home and abroad,this paper made an indepth study of the relevant theories and design methods of the radar radio frequency front-end transmitting branch and receiving branch,and designed a set of X-band doppler radar radio frequency front-end.The transmitting branch consists of mixer,band-pass filter and power amplifier.The receiving branch consists of radio frequency receiving unit and intermediate frequency unit.This paper determined the X-band doppler radar radio frequency front-end overall design index and specific index requirements of each branch,calculated parameters and built framework for each branch,simulated radar radio frequency front-end branch based on Agilent company's ADS software,completed the PCB drawing by using Altium Designer software,and completed the production and debugging of each branch,finally constructed a complete set of X-band doppler radar radio frequency front-end.The branches of X-band doppler radar radio frequency front-end were tested.The test of the transmitting branch showed that the 1.2GHz signal generated by the frequency source up-conversioned to the 8.4GHz signal.And the test of the receiving branch showed that the radio frequency signal in the frequency range of 9.35GHz to 9.85GHz was converted down to the intermediate frequency signal with the central frequency of 1.2GHz,and the gain of the receiving branch was about 20dB.The radar radio frequency front-end designed in this paper met the design requirements,and realized the miniaturization of the radar radio frequency front-end.
