For the car airbag cover injection mold produced by a company,there are problems such as excessive inlet pressure and serious warpage deformation.Apply Creo threedimensional modeling,ANSYS finite element analysis,Moldex3 D mold flow analysis software and mold design and manufacturing theory.Method,modeling,coupling analysis and optimization design of the mold.The research focused on the influence of the gating system and cooling system of the airbag cover injection mold on the appearance quality and warpage.Through the model parameters of the product,the viscosity of the material,PVT,and ANSYS analysis,the structural design of the original mold,the performance of the material and the mechanical structure are determined to meet the requirements of the car airbag cover.According to the molding process,design principles and process parameters of the injection mold,after Moldex3 D mold flow analysis,the following results are obtained.Under the mold structure and production process parameters,during the molding process of the airbag cover,there is no short-shot,flow lag in the filling stage.Defects such as sutures,but there will be pressure imbalance in the mold during filling and holding,the temperature difference between the upper and lower molds in the cooling stage is too large,and the X and Y direction shrinkage in the warping deformation stage,and the Z direction,total displacement,total Temperature difference effect,warpage deformation of total area shrinkage effect.Based on the analysis results,the structure of the mold was further analyzed.The above problem was caused by the unreasonable design of the mold in the runner system and the cooling system.Therefore,two optimization schemes have been proposed: the hot runner casting system design or the profiled waterway is improved.Based on the original mold,the cold runner was changed to a hot runner or the ordinary waterway was changed to a profiled waterway,and the two designs were further simulated with Moldex3 D.After comparison,it is found that the two optimization designs can improve the warpage deformation value and the upper and lower mold temperature difference of the model.The hot runner system also improves the filling and holding pressure stages,especially the inlet gate pressure is reduced by 50 MPa,but the irregular shape The waterway is not significantly optimized during the filling and holding phase and the cost of 3D metal printing technology is too expensive.The hot runner casting system is preferred.In order to ensure the quality of the product,on the basis of this,the orthogonal test method is used to carry out the 3-level orthogonal test on the four main factors of the main process parameters of the hot runner system: material temperature,mold temperature,holding pressure and dwell time.The main factor affecting the warpage is the holding time,and the improved design of the mold is completed based on this.After the research,this paper will provide a basis for the design of car airbag cover mold and production process design,and also provide a theoretical basis for the design,manufacture and exploration of subsequent injection molds.Figure 63 Table 12 Reference 51...
