The city is an organic whole that blends with each other in time and space.On the one hand,it has the synchronic features formed in different periods due to its specific spatial geographical characteristics and urban historical context.On the other hand,it has the diachronic characteristics that can track the process of its historical formation and evolution.Although urban planning and design under the guidance of modern urban planning theory has solved the basic functional problems of urban systems to a certain extent,most of the domestic neglected the “types” that play an important role in urban structure and level.Most cities do not carry out research and control over its own form and type of building.The urban space dominated by consumption and industrialization has gradually replaced the spatial space that carries the inherent form of memory in the region.The city tends to converge,and the historical and cultural characteristics inherent in the region are gradually annihilated.The Tanzanian Tandansa School is a cognitive theory about urban areas and a practice method of typology.It has important reference significance for environmental construction in China's current urban context.The analysis of the ideology and strategy of a school or a group is more conducive to clarifying the basic principles and avoiding contingency than the analysis of individuals with different ideological and cultural origins.The research object and content of this paper are related to the Tandansa school.In order to explore its clear vocabulary,rigorous logic,continuation of the context and attention to the relationship between the environment and the various elements of the city,this article analyzes the practical operation methods of the Tandansa school under the typology theory from the perspective of urban context and architectural ontology,and attempts to deeply explore the relevant typology theory and practice methods.The research goal of this paper is to try to respond to the complex environment of cities in the contemporary context by studying the design practice methods under the Tendanza School typology theory,and to summarize the Tendanza school's typological operation methods for urban architecture.
