In the process of rapid urban economic development,some problems have also been exposed,among which traffic congestion is severe.It has become a bottleneck restricting urban economic development.In response to urban traffic congestion,many scholars at home and abroad have proposed various theories and methods for studying traffic congestion.This paper uses the Unreal Engine4 engine platform and Visual Studio 2015 coding platform which have gained outstanding achievements in the field of visualization technology to visualize and analyze the traffic congestion problem.Using the powerful visualization technology of UE4 engine,the traffic congestion information is presented in front of the users in three dimensions.The user can intuitively observe the basic information of the road and use the flexible user interaction capability of the UE4 engine to simulate the traffic flow.The main research contents of this paper include the following four aspects:1.The research background and significance of research on traffic congestion are discussed.Then,the research status of traffic congestion at home and abroad is analyzed,and the research objectives and contents of traffic congestion are introduced.2.The key technologies and related technical knowledge used to study this problem are introduced,including the basic overview of UE4,two programming methods in UE4 blueprint and C++,the advantages and disadvantages of blue print and C++,and some of the functional modules in UE4.3.To construct a traffic road model,first carefully analyze the requirements of the road model,summarize the styles required for the road model,and construct various model components needed for the road model,then complete the modeling of the small components through 3Dmax,based on visually edited road blueprint.The signal light at the intersection of the road needs reasonable phase change control.Through the analysis of the transformation rule of the signal light,the script of the signal control system is completed.4.To simulate the traffic flow on the traffic road,a vehicle control script system that can control the vehicle operation is required to be constructed.By analyzing and summarizing the functions of the vehicle,a section of VehicleWheel for vehicles is provided in UE4.This section provides basic functions related to vehicle dynamics,such as starting,braking,and fueling.The section of PawnSensingComponent in UE4 provides AI visual effects to estimate whether the distance between two vehicles is too close.Combined with such knowledge related to animated blueprints,a blueprint for vehicle control scripts can be written,which can be used to simulate vehicle operation conditions,and save the simulation data of traffic flow as text format data for later traffic flow analysis.Through the traffic real-time traffic map of Baidu map,we can find the congested road sections in Caidian District.We can collect the basic road condition information of the congested road sections,use the UE4 engine to construct the road model of the congested road sections,and then simulate the traffic conditions to obtain the corresponding simulation data.By modification of the road structure,we can simulate traffic flow again,compare and analyze the simulated data before and after the modification,then summarize the causes of congestion and corresponding improvement suggestions.
