Research Of Morphological Evolution Influenced By Social Factors On Town Of Zhangzhou And Its Ancient Town

Zhangzhou is one of the state-list national historical cities.After 1336 years of evolution,under the influence of complex social factors,its town has formed a unique and continuous urban morphology.Its ancient city still basically retains the ancient townscape.Based on social factors and using the methodology of urban planning,architecture and sociology,this paper is addressed to the evolution of town of Zhangzhou and protected regeneration of its ancient city.It aims to summarize the logic of urban development in this area,explore the future development path of this area,and provide case study,research methods and framework reference for the urban morphology study of historical cities.Firstly,according to the characteristics of urban morphology in different historical periods of town of Zhangzhou,defines difrferent evolution stages.from the social and physical aspects of morphology,this paper expounds the characteristics of each stages,and identifies the evolution vein of urban morphology of Zhangzhou.Secondly,the internal structure of urban morphology in Zhangzhou is analyzed.The elements of internal structure can be recognized as venation,community,core,axis and boundary according to social and physical morphology.Through this method,the characteristics of Zhangzhou urban morphology and the internal logic of its evolution are revealed in a deeper level.Then,it examines the degree,mode and result of the influence of various social factors on the urban morphology.It aims to indicates the driving factors of urban morphology evolution in Zhangzhou further.After researching on evolution of urban morphology in town of Zhangzhou,based on the methodology of burgage cycle,the paper examines the evolution of protected regeneration of Zhangzhou ancient city,which is the core of the old town.According to the purpose and scope of protected regeneration,divided different stages.Subsequently,the main stages of protected regeneration are analyzed in detail,some suggestions are put forward for the protected regeneration of the ancient city in the future.Through the above research and analysis,the following three main conclusions can be drawn:firstly,the evolution of urban morphology irn town of Zhangzhou can be divided into two stages:ancient and modern,and nine small stages.Secondly,social factors have a comprehensive,profound and fundamental impact on urban morphology in town of Zhangzhou,which is also the motive of its evolution.The main social factors influencing urban form evolution in different stages are different.Thirdly,the protected regeneration of Zhangzhou ancient city can be divided into three stages.Different from the regeneration of the core of general old town motived by market,because of the policy of protected regeneration,the ancient city of Zhangzhou has a higher building coverage and continues the traditional townscape.
