As an important guarantee of the war,Camouflage can reduce the probability of the targets was found and recognized,improve the targets survivability in battlefield.Since the traditional camouflage,camouflage has gone through several stages from 2D pattern to the current 3D pattern.In the implementation stage of camouflage,when the camouflage pattern is copied to the surface of the 3D target,texture is easily distorted,and the splicing seams with discontinuous color transitions at different plane intersections are generated.Its results in an increase in the saliency of the target,which in turn affects the camouflage effect.Therefore,this paper propose a seamless 3D digital camouflage design algorithm.The 3D digital camouflage design algorithm includes digital camouflage stitching algorithm and texture mapping algorithm.Firstly,in order to eliminate the splicing seam and make the pattern of the splicing more natural transition,this paper proposed similarity hypothesis of digital camouflage and concept of pseudo overlap area.On this basis,the paper design a Digital Camouflage stitching algorithm combining Texture Synthesis and best seam line.Secondly,in order to restrain texture distortion,the paper proposed a Texture mapping algorithm for digital camouflage pattern.It can preserve the rectangular features of mosaic patches in digital camouflage pattern and reduce the negative effect of texture distortion on target camouflage.In order to evaluate and analyze the three-dimensional digital camouflage designed in this paper,a camouflage effect evaluation model based on structural similarity,texture similarity and color similarity is adopted.By establishing a camouflage simulation scenario,and calculating the comprehensive similarity as a quantitative camouflage effect.The results show that the 3D digital camouflage target designed by the proposed algorithm can be well fused with the background and has a good camouflage effect.In summary,the proposed design algorithm of 3D digital camouflage can effectively solve the splicing seams problem and texture distortion problem,and obtain better camouflage effect.It provides a new idea for the design method of 3D camouflage.
