In the past 40 years of reform and opening up,based on rapid industrialization and urbanization,China's economy has developed with high speed.However,this development mainly relying on a large amount of input of production factors,which caused excessive consumption of fossil energy represented by coal,oil and natural gas,and led to a series of social contradictions and problems.In the past decade,China has faced pressure to reduce total energy consumption and reduce carbon dioxide emissions.Although the Chinese government has continuously adopted various measures to improve the technical level,which aims to achieve the goal of energy conservation and emission reduction,the existence of the energy rebound effect makes the government's method of energy conservation by improving energy efficiency can not meet the expected goal.The energy rebound effect directly affects the results of energy saving and emission reduction.Therefore,it is necessary to study and carry out the energy rebound effect of various industries in China.This paper works out ten hybrid energy input-output tables(value type)based on the ten input-output tables prepared by the National Bureau of Statistics of the National Bureau of Statistics and the China Input-output Association from 1987 to 2012 and the energy consumption of the sub-sector published by the National Bureau of Statistics.Based on this,relying on the supply-driven Ghosh input-output model,this paper calculates the total energy rebound effect of various industries in different periods between 1987 and 2012 in China,splits the total energy rebound effect into direct energy rebound effect and indirect energy rebound effect,analyzes the factors which may affect the energy rebound effect value.The study founds that the enemy rebound effect in China's.Since 2000,the average energy rebound effect of various industries has stabilized at 40%,and the total energy rebound effect of the secondary industry is generally higher than that of the primary industry and the tertiary industry.The energy indirect rebound effect of most sectors(or industries)are much higher than those direct energy rebound effect.The direct rebound effect of energy is related to the energy efficiency of the industry.Under the same assumptions of technological advancement,the higher energy efficiency or the lower energy intensity of the sector(or industry),the lower direct energy rebound effect value.The indirect energy rebound effect is related to the degree of forward linkage of the industry.The higher the forward linkage degree of the industry,the greater the value of the indirect rebound effect of energy brought by the industry.Therefore,when formulating relevant policies of energy,it is necessary to take into account the chain effect between industries.
