| Danish architect Henning Larsen was born in 1925.He founded Henning Larsen Architects(HLA)in 1959 and has been active since then,its design such as University of Trondheim in Norway,Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Riyadh,Engh?j Church,Copenhagen Opera House and other works are internationally renowned and have received lots of awards and honors,making a significant contribution to Danish architectural design in the second half of the 20 th century.HLA treats the Nordic tradition objectively,inherits and continues into the functional laws of modernism,pays attention to regional expression and the relationship between history and modernity,integrates such thinking into the form and space of its architecture.The architecture declares the quality and characteristics of Inclusiveness and conform to the trend of the times,has had a profound impact on the development of architecture in Northern Europe.This paper mainly focuses on three parts.In the first,introduces the architectural background of HLA,including the generalization of the natural and cultural characteristics of the Nordic environment and the development of Nordic modernist architecture.The second part analyses the life and creative process of HLA founder Henning Larsen according to the clues of time,presenting the source and the formation of his design concept,combined with his background and based on the cognition of his architectural regional perspective and concept content,expounding the connotation and characteristics of its concept.The third part takes the case as the object and analyzes the main points and levels of the expression of its concept,including the external analysis of the environment,site and form,the intrinsic revealing of the experience,connotation,spiritual characteristics,and the exploration of its meaning and value.At last,on the basis of the above research,summarize the design methods of HLA and seeks to finds the enlightenment for the contemporary architectural creation in our country. |
