| Based on architectural theory of regionalism and place, the thesis establishes academic frame of "regional place" and discusses the expression of regional place for modern architecture from theory and practice. That is, to discuss the expression and the representation of architectural example for architectural place which has regional characteristics. From the angle of meaning of architectural place, the thesis studies the architecture and their environments which have regional characteristics.At first, the thesis separately explains the concept for architectural regionalism and the meanings for architectural place. The thesis has teased two clear venations by outspreading some analysis and discussion toward both of them which are looked on as academic basic for discussing architectural regional place. In the second place, based on chapter two and chapter three, the thesis establishes academic frame of "regional place", expounds its significance for expression, confirms its concept and talks over basic applied theory for representation of regional place. Thirdly, the thesis studies the method and technique for expression of regional place in modern architecture by analysis of architectural example.By discussing modern architecture and their environments which have regional characteristics, the thesis puts forward that architectural creations should pay attention to expression for meaning of place when a regional building is shaped. In this way, modern regional architecture can buildup sense of ascription and sense of self-identity to us. The thesis calls expression of regional place in architectural creations. |
