At present, ice is widely used in human life. From the food industry to the industrial field, ice has become an indispensable substance. There are many ways for humans to make ice,but the energy of ice making relies mainly on electrical energy, and water energy is one of the most accessible energy sources in a large number of renewable resources,non-polluting and relatively widespread on the earth.Research on hydraulically driven ice machines can make full use of low-level water energy, and meet people by developing low-level water energy. The demand for ice makes full use of low-level water to make ice for human service.Aiming at the current situation of the current velocity of rivers in China, combined with the current national policy of energy conservation and emission reduction, this paper proposes a device that can make ice using low-level water. In the paper, the overall design of the ice machine was firstly carried out.The mechanical energy-electric energy-mechanical energy conversion method was used to calculate the total power of the equipment and the power of the compressor. The various components of the refrigeration system were calculated and selected.Model specifications for each component of the refrigeration system.Secondly, this paper designs the water-driven ice making machine.Based on Bates theory and classical design theory, the overall parameters of the impeller are designed and optimized to ensure that the impeller can obtain enough water in low-speed flow. The energy, the power of the energy can provide sufficient mechanical energy for the generator,so that the generator generates enough mechanical energy to store energy and drive the compressor to cool. Then select the wing shape of NACA series, optimize the impeller parameters, and build the 3D model of the impeller with 3D software SolidWorks, use 3D printing technology to complete the generation of impeller model. The mechanical part was designed and optimized to check and select the gearbox, spindle, and bearings.Since the equipment is operated underwater, the requirements for sealing are extremely strict. The connecting parts of the equipment housing are equipped with rubber mats as static seals, and the main shaft parts are dynamically sealed by toothed slip ring seals. At the same time, the dynamic balance simulation of the spindle part is carried out to ensure the smooth operation of the equipment under water. Finally, based on Ansys Fluent software, the impeller is numerically simulated and analyzed by ICEM.The unstructured meshing of the impeller is then carried out.The hydrodynamic characteristics of the two-blade,three-blade and four-blade impellers are compared. It is proved that the three-blade impeller has the best power output. In this article, the core components of the hydraulic drive ice machine are preliminarily designed, and the impeller is optimized. And with the help of the finite element simulation technology,he impeller can provide sufficient power for the hydraulic drive ice machine to achieve low water level ice making.
