Cotton straw molding vehicle is a small,integrated biomass solid fuel production-equipment.Based on the design improvement and experimental study on the early-stage research and development equipment,the quality of the biomass solid fuel was improved as well as the equipment production efficiency.Through the determination of physical and chemical properties of cotton straw and combining some technical problems of 4FY-0.8B type molding vehicle,Through the research on the physical and chemical properties of cotton straw,the paper provides theoretical guidance for the cotton straw molding vehicle based on the 4FY-type molding vehicle developed by Search Institute of Agriculture Machinery of Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Science,and carries on the improvement design and experimental research of the cotton straw molding vehicle.Main contents and conclusions were as follows:(1)The basic characteristics of cotton straw were determined.Some basic physical and chemical characteristics of cotton stalk “xinluzao 45th” in Xinjiang area were determined.Through the determination of cotton stalk,the moisture,average particle size,loose density,repose angle and suspension rate was respectively 21.8 ± 3.2%,7.5mm,300 ± 20kg/m3,71±2°,8± 2.7m/s.(2)Improvements and fluid simulation in the pneumatic conveying system of the cotton straw molding vehicle was carried on.It was found that the better air value 1460m3/h and wind pressure 3248 Pa of cotton straw conveying characteristics parameter in the pneumatic conveying system.Improvement and optimization on the structure of the conveying equipment as was as follows: the tube thickness ?(delta)parameters of the pneumatic conveying pipe was 3 mm and bending radius of each bend pipe was 180 mm.Parameters were set newly again that the separator diameter 350 mm,the total height 1130 mm,capacity of air seal machinery 4L/r.(3)The improvement was studied on the screw conveying system of the cotton straw molding vehicle.The improvement on the screw conveying system was as follows: O-type oblique single screw was changed into U-type horizontal double screws.The working process of the molding vehicle was also simplified and the space position of each part of the forming vehicle was optimized.(4)The improvement on the hardware of the control system for the cotton straw molding vehicle was conducted on.The route of the work platform of the cotton straw molding vehicle was optimized,the space layout of the cotton straw molding vehicle was improved and the equipment was realized to easily operate,control and be understandable.(5)The orthogonal test was study on the work parameter optimization of the cotton straw molding vehicle.Through the orthogonal test of the work parameters of the cotton straw molding machine,it was analyzed and obtained that the optimal work parameters of the cotton straw molding vehicle were the preheating temperature was 90?,the moisture content 18% and the cotton straw particle size for screen size 6mm,under these above work parameters,the working performance of molding vehicle equipment was best,and the conversion efficiency of the solid fuel was up to 87.5%.
