With the reform of the educational system,the mode of higher education is gradually changing and a new concept of openness and pluralism has emerged,the traditional teaching and learning forms can no longer meet the needs of modern education.Under the premise of satisfying the basic function,teaching architecture focuses more on the needs of knowledge,information and emotion communication and academic interaction among the disciplines.As an important part of campus,the internal communication space of the teaching building in colleges and universities is the main place for teachers and students to study and communicate.A single function teaching space can not satisfy the multiple academic exchanges and therefore it is necessary to construct an open,pluralistic and humanized communication space which plays a very important role in the formation of teaching space with a good cultural atmosphere.This paper takes the interior communication space of the teaching building in colleges and universities as the research object and the relevant theory is obtained through reference to literature review.Integrated with the analysis of the characteristics of the interior communication space of the teaching building,we make a conclusion in the distribution characteristics and development trend of communication space in teaching buildings according to different communication behaviors.On the basis of the field visit to the comprehensive teaching buildings of some colleges and universities in Lanzhou,it is found that there are still many problems in the current situation of the internal communication space,causing a deficient state of communication environment.During the visit,this paper analyzes the users' demand for the use of the space function and psychological behavior in the teaching building through the questionnaire survey of the students within the teaching building and summarizes the existing problems in the light of the present situation of the survey.Finally,based on the practical design and research of the internal communication space of the Art Practical Training Teaching Building in the Northwest Normal University,the theory is applied to the practice and the communicative design is mainly made in the traffic space and the independent shared space according to the subdivision of the different functional nodes in the space.The contents of communication space are enriched from three aspects:auxiliary facilities,interface design,environmental shape and lighting design.Moreover,detailed design instructions are made.In the concluding part of the article,the paper summarizes the contents of the paper and makes a classification,summary and optimization of the communicative design methods in different spaces.Hopefully we can provide some references for the design of the communication space in the teaching building in the future.
