Road marking has many advantages,such as good visibility,excellent adhesion,good skid resistance and excellent wear resistance.It is an indispensable part of road construction in China.However,current road marking paints are prone to cracking,easy to fall off in summer,poor wear resistance and insufficient durability,resulting in accidents such as car accidents.In this paper,a new durable hot-melt road marking paint is developed,which can enhance the adhesion,wear resistance and durability of the road marking to a certain extent.On one hand,it improves the road safety,on the other hand,it reduces the maintenance cost of transportation facilities.In this paper,the basic composition and characteristics of hot-melt road marking coatings are analyzed.C5 petroleum resin is selected as the base material of coatings and a new type of polymer material is added to modify the coatings according to the road demand.After optimizing the formulation of coatings according to the principle of formulation design,the main film-forming substances with good adhesion are obtained.In the filler design,superfine talc powder,calcium carbonate and anatase titanium dioxide are used as main functional fillers to obtain coatings with suitable strength and high white luster By adding glass beads with high roundness and high refractive index,a sustainable reflective coating with excellent nighttime reflective properties is obtained.At the same time,combined with the design principle of the coating,the feasibility of formulation design of new materials is analyzed.It is pointed out that the substitution and mixing of film-forming substances can not be changed unilaterally to improve performance or reduce the cost.It is necessary to improve the product by adding new raw materials.It is also used to meet the road needs of different functions,so as to effectively improve the technical level and reduce costs.Secondly,the paper chooses the appropriate formulation in the production process and makes the preparation of paint products,so as to achieve the goal of energy saving and environmental protection in each link.After the formation of the material,the pavement performance of the new durable hot-melt road marking paint was evaluated by combining indoor and outdoor tests.In the laboratory test,the softening point test of several formulations is tested to evaluate the high temperature stability of the coating and the workability of the coating.On the other hand,improving the softening point is beneficial to shorten the drying time.The physical and chemical corrosion resistance of the coatings is characterized by testing the water resistance and alkali resistance of the coatings.The low temperature crack resistance and heat stability of the coatings are tested to explore their performance.The anti-sliding property of the composite was studied by outdoor experiments.The weather resistance(water resistance,alkali resistance),heating stability,wear resistance and compressive strength of the coatings were evaluated comprehensivelyFinally,the construction technology of the coating is put forward and its construction process is discussed.The paving of the test section and follow-up investigation are carried out.The results show that the selection of a reasonable construction technology can play a vital role in the new durable hot-melt marking paint.According to the follow-up investigation of the sustainability in the later period,it is concluded that the durable hot-melt marking paint developed in this paper not only has excellent light reflectivity,wear resistance and skid resistance,but also conforms to the actual application of current road marking.
