One of the most important steps in the construction of urban modernization is an advocate to construct ecological conservation-oriented garden city,to relieve the contradiction between urban expansion and natural environment through the means of ecological science.To mix urban and environment together in the area where had been built again,garden designers try to construct some small green space,such as vertical greening,roof garden and so on,so to create more ecological niches for city,but owing to the particularity of urban environment,many ornamental plant can not adapt ecological niches better,often appears some high-maintenances.Through survey and filter plants in the highly artificial environment,this artical selected four kinds of natural plants growing and spreading in the urban environment,made a experienment about the adaptability of landscape illumination,aimed at introducing it to the design of garden plants,let plants which adapt to the urban environment to decorate the city,and let the city where has been built up get more "green".The main conclusions in this research are as follow:(1)In order to summarize the habitat characteristics of natural plants in highly artificial environment,in order to select spaces where are more suitable for natural process in urban environment,in order to lay the foundation which can further realize the application and expansion of natural plants,writer made a systematic investigation for highly artificial environment,included seven universities in Guangzhou city,and some areas of Tianhe district and Yuexiu district.Through wetland probe,divided habitats which adapt to the growth of natural plants in highly artificial environment into four types,and summed up the habitat characteristics of natural plants in highly artificial environment,when in highly artificial environment habitat,the average temperature is 24.5?,the average humidity is 78%,the average light intensity is12541.8lux,the soil ph is about ph7.1,it is suitable for natural growth process of plants.(2)To select plants naturally growing in highly artificial environment reasonablely,scientifically and effectively,writer established a set of evaluation system of selection for natural plants in highly artificial environment,it based on three aspects: ornamental value evaluation,ecological adaptability evaluation and economic feasibility evaluation,and selected 4 plants include Youngia japonica,Plantain herb,Tassel blower,Viola inconspicua,as subjects of related experiment be introduced to garden,from 56 kinds of plants of 135 samples in investigated area.(3)Selected 4 kinds of plants which conform to requirements from56 kinds of natural plants have been recorded in investigation,and according to the form and scope of the application of garden plants,decided to do an adaptability test of its illumination.The results showed that the four kinds of plant has a strong ability to adapt to light,Tassel blower can adapt to full exposure environment,half-shaded environment and all-shaded environment better,Youngia japonica and Plantain herb are more adapt to full exposure environment and half-shaded environment,Viola inconspicua is more adapt to half-shaded environment.Depending on different experimental results,it can be used in different landscape studies in further research.
