With the rapid development of Liaoyang's new economy and the growing demand for public transport travel,it is imperative for Liaoyang to give priority to the development of public transport for the continuous expansion of the city scope and the increasing traffic congestion.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the public transport demand and the planning of the line network in Liaoyang,in order to create a smooth,efficient,easy travel environment,meet the future growth of traffic requirements,improve the quality of people's lives and the needs of urban ecological environment,promote urban development,enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of the city and ease the pressure of urban road network in Liaoyang.First of all,in this thesis,the background,purpose and significance of the research were introduced.Based on understanding and drawing on domestic and foreign advanced public transport network planning development research status and analyzing advanced theory,method and experience,the problem of Liaoyang bus demand forecasting and line network planning were put forward,and the research ideas were established.Secondly,the current situation and problems of the development of Liaoyang city bus were analyzed,and the characteristics of Liaoyang bus development were discussed,from five aspects of urban development status,traffic development,road system,resident trip,bus network and bus development.Thirdly,the principles of public transport network planning was discussed,including bus network planning method,planning principle and related theoretical models.According to the existing data and the survey data,the suitable distribution model for Liaoyang public transport network planning was selected,and the traffic demand forecasting theory was adopted.According to "four stages" demand forecasting method of the traffic demand forecast,namely trip generation,trip distribution,mode split and traffic assignment,the future traffic volume of the bus line network was predicted scientifically.Finally,taking Liaoyang public transport network planning as an example,based on the theoretical knowledge of the previous chapters,and the forecasting and analysis of the demand of transportation system and public transportation and the regional public transport network planning in liaoyang,the public transit network of Liaoyang was adjusted.Based on the research contents and results of the last four chapters,the prediction of the total scale of the public transport vehicles adjusted by Liaoyang public transport was calculated.The required platform and type of vehicles for different operation lines were predicted and calculated.The proportion of bus and the bus lane were predicted and planned,which improved the operation efficiency and service level of the bus system,enhanced connectivity between lines,increased the total length of the wire mesh,enhanced the density of line network,improved the operation speed of public transport,expanded the coverage of the site and improved the coefficient of repetition of the line.Based on these methods,the phenomenon of traffic congestion was effectively alleviated,and the travel for residents was convenient which verified the applicability and rationality of the planning method used in Liaoyang public transport network planning.The planning scheme of Liaoyang public transit network was given,and satisfactory results were achieved.
