As the traffic continues to increase,the axle load is increasing,rutting,pan oil,pits,cracks have become the main disease of asphalt pavement and seriously affecting the service life of the road.When the pavement is buildings the aggregate gradation and the compaction degree are the main reasons that affect the use performance of the pavement Aggregate plays an important role in the road performance of the asphalt mixture because it is the main component of the mixture.The gradation directly determines the proportion of the aggregate and the type of the asphalt mixture,which indirectly affects the disease of the asphalt pavement The compaction degree of pavement molding directly determines the initial porosity of asphalt pavement service.So improving the type of gradation and compaction has become the main measure to improve the road performance of the asphalt mixture.This article will be based on the existing research,based on Superpave and Marshall type asphalt mixes,The effect of compaction on the performance of the mixture was studied by laboratory test Through the experiment found that the appropriate reduction in the number of design compaction,so that the design of the appropriate increase in porosity,while increasing the pavement molding compaction,can effectively reduce the pavement forming the beginning of the disease,effective ly enhance the durability of the road.In this paper,IPAD-2 software is used to analyze the internal structure of asphalt mixture,The influence factors such as the number of internal contact area,the length of contact area and the direction of contact area were explored,and the relationship between the internal structure of the mixture and the road performance was analyzed.This paper summarizes the VMA estimation method of asphalt mixture at domestic and abroad,and evaluates the estimation method by experiment.The experimental results show that the aggregate gradation type,molding method and compaction work have a great influence on the mixture VMA.Overview of text,Firstly,based onthe superpave type and the Marshall type two kinds of asphalt mixture,the durability of asphalt mixture from the point of view of compaction characteristics is studied deeply,and the interior compaction standard for Superpave and Marshall type is put forward.Then,the internal structure of the mixture was analyzed by IPAS-2 software,and the influencing factors of the internal structure of the mixture were put forward,and the relationship between the internal structure and the high temperature performance of the mixture was explored.At the end of this paper,the VMA characteristics of the mixture are studied,the influencing factors of VMA are put forward,the estimation method of VMA at domestic and abroad is summarized,and the accuracy of its estimation is evaluated.
