The disposal of scrap tires is a major test for all countries in the new century.It is a new way to deal with tire problems that scrap tires broken rubber particles into asphalt mixes.After snowfall,mixture snow gradually melts under the vehicle load,and it is easy to freeze to cause traffic accidents in the northern cold regions of China.Due to the addition of rubber particles to asphalt mixture,asphalt mixture has great deformation under the vehicle load,causing the ice layer to break on asphalt mixture,which has a certain self-deicing ability.However,the mechanical properties of asphalt mixture will inevitably change after adding rubber particles.The reason of rubber particles asphalt mixture deicing need further study.The author of this paper will study and analyze the above content.In this paper,the mechanical properties of rubber particles asphalt mixture with content of 0%,2%,3%and 4%and particle size 1?2mm and 2?4mm are studied.The properties of rubber particles asphalt mixture is tested by uniaxial compression test,splitting test and bending test.The test results show that the compression strength,tensile strength and bending performance of rubber particles asphalt mixture are less than ordinary asphalt mixture.However,the properties of rubber particles asphalt mixture in tensile,compression,bending and other properties have been improved,especially,the two parameters of bending deformation and bending failure strain in the bending test have been significantly improved.The finite element model of rubber particles asphalt mixture is established.And the deicing performance of rubber particles asphalt mixture is studied through the deformation of the ice mixture.The criterion of strain energy density factor is used as the judgment basis of mixture ice breakage.The capability of deicing in mixture with different elastic modulus is studied at different temperatures and different ice thicknesses.Indoor ice-breaking test is carried out.The results show that when the temperature is higher than-5? and the thickness of ice layer is less than 5mm,the rubber particles asphalt mixture has the ability of deicing.When the temperature exceeds-10? or ice thickness exceeds 10mm,the deicing ability of the mixture is lost.The influence of rubber particles,temperature and loading frequency on the dynamic modulus of asphalt mixture is analyzed.The results show that the dynamic modulus of asphalt mixture decreases with the increase of rubber particles and temperature.And the dynamic modulus of 1?2mm rubber particles asphalt mixture decrease slowly.With the increase of loading frequency,the dynamic modulus of common asphalt mixture is always greater than the rubber particles asphalt mixture,and the rubber particles asphalt mixture with 2?4mm is better than that rubber particles asphalt mixture with 1?2mm.
